Being a bit more serious for a moment; Daughtry may actually be able to connect with him on a level he understands? Maybe he can give him some useful advice? I don't know Daughtry any more than I do Durbin, but they seem to share the love of (hard/metal) rock and they both have families. JD is a young man, very new to this fame game and he (as anyone new to fame) needs coaching. Not everybody can be so PR-savvy as AFL, and even he's had his share of pitfalls... I remember Adam saying in an interview that there's no handbook how to handle things post-Idol, so maybe TPTB are not really taking the controls in JD's case, especially if he's not considered for a management deal? I wish JD all the best, whatever shape or form his career may take. Showbusiness is not an easy school, but I guess he will learn that in time. And if not... So happy to have Adam!  |

Can we just let Neil deal with this it would be over and done with very quickly. Not sure Durbin would get it...

I don't know Chris, either. But he is religous, has a wife and kids, and among those kids are 2 teenagers! He has kept his family together through all the Idol madness and all his success. So, he would be the perfect mentor for James!
