Oh good grief! I was holding my tongue, because I do have a bit of soft spot for James...but I don't know that I do anymore! Seriously, is he deliberately trying to dig himself into this hole?? I hope Adam just ignores him from now on, I think it will be the lesser of two evils.
Poor Chris Daughtry. :-)

I see the JD thing this way: I enjoyed JD a lot in the beginning of the idol season. Then, just as Adam observed, he went off the rails a bit. JD felt stung by Adam's opinion, Adam said "oops, sorry," and then JD shared opinions about Adam's cd choices. THEN, out of the blue, JD reached out to Adam, albeit awkwardly, because I think he realized he really did want some of Adam's input (I think he realized Adam had not been criticizing him personally, that Adam's "been there" with the idol experience, and that he's overall honest and nice - who wouldn't want Adam's help?). JD took a shot. Adam responded, it seemed to me, in bemused but not rude fashion. For whatever reason, JD seems a bit like a bull in the china shoppe of life (whereas Adam is the opposite), but he's not hateful. He's never questioned Adam's talent. I'm not defending JD, I'm thinking about why I don't feel negatively toward him. And I would bet money Adam tweeted about the movie becuase he saw the movie not to send a secret message that he was mocking JD. I don't think he was, nor that he has any need to. JD's got fans. He has some talent. It takes a certain bravery to choose a career all about being in the public eye despite having involuntary facial tics and guttural hic-cups. I hope he finds a way to have a career doing what he loves. since we're still talking about JD and his tweets to Adam.. he said he's not asking for Adam's advise now.. he just want to have lunch... I guess he forgot about the "one on one advise" from Adam... so I think I'm confince that this only for PR stunt.. when is he going to stop Oh, okay - that's my post. I guess I'll be the designated "spinning apologist"? I'm disappointed, okay? "What do you want from me?" And now, additionally, I hope he also will come to realize that his comments ("double points for being Christian") do not jive with his last tweet before having his phone taken from him, "Whenever one states something about 1 religion everyone thinks they're bashing all others? Like a friend of mine who occassionally tells me that she forgets I'm not a Christian because I seem so "christian" to her (she means it as a compliment . . .), he's clueless - but I'm not convinced he's hateful. YET. And I still don't think that Adam was doing anything other than tweeting about a movie when he tweeted about a movie. So, I don't share the same exact view as some of you, but - I'm okay with it because, well, it's how it is.  |

I am looking forward to the Durbin apologists on this board to spin this slur at Adam not being Christian and explain it in terms of his Asperger's - he might have a disorder but IMHO his bigger disorder is that he is an insufferable asshole ! I don't know if I am considered one of the Durbin apologists, but isn't Aspergers a form of mental disorder? My son has a mental disorder and he spouts off whatever comes into his head without thinking it thru and his words frequently get him into trouble and he truly doesn't understand why. Then I am left to try to explain to people whose feathers he has ruffled. Not easy. :-/ So I guess I have a bit of empathy if Durbin is like this. I think that's why Adam didn't jump all over him with his twitters. I think he understands this guy may not think like the rest of us. Do I need to hide behind that rock now? :([/quote No need to hide - I feel though that not everything James does can be explained in terms of his disorder. |

OMG, chunkey's gifs!!!! And hoppers digging photos!!! I LOVE you guys SFM!!!! And I do believe we owe Chris Daughtry our deepest most sincere gratitude... Perhaps a small Daughtry altar is in order where we can light candles and make continual offerings in the name of Chris Daughtry's never-ending wisdom and advice that will keep JD pre-occupied and off twitter forever. Amen.
