Dear Adam,
Good news. You know that lunch date you got roped into and couldn't figure out how to avoid? It's been canceled. The guy's found himself a better mentor: he's rock, (not pop/electronic); he's a family man (as in NOT GAY); and he's a Christian (as in NOT JEWISH, tho' your canceled date does have a Jewish lawyer, so no bigotry here). It'll be a much better fit. He wasn't really asking for your advice anyway; just a chat over lunch.

since we're still talking about JD and his tweets to Adam.. he said he's not asking for Adam's advise now.. he just want to have lunch... I guess he forgot about the "one on one advise" from Adam... so I think I'm confince that this only for PR stunt.. when is he going to stop Oh, okay - that's my post. I guess I'll be the designated "spinning apologist"? I'm disappointed, okay? "What do you want from me?" I still enjoyed him in the beginning of Idol, I still think he has talent, I still think it takes a certain bravery to do what he does (I don't think he fakes his tics, etc. www.autismkey.com/james-durbin-discusses-family-adam-lambert-comparisons/ I still hope he has a career. And now, additionally, I hope he also will come to realize that his comments ("double points for being Christian") do not jive with his last tweet before having his phone taken from him, "Whenever one states something about 1 religion everyone thinks they're bashing all others? Like a friend of mine who occassionally tells me that she forgets I'm not a Christian because I seem so "christian" to her (she means it as a compliment . . .), he's clueless - but I'm not convinced he's hateful. YET. And I still don't think that Adam was doing anything other than tweeting about a movie when he tweeted about a movie. So, I don't share the same exact view as some of you, but - I'm okay with it because, well, it's how it is.  Bridget, Adamtopia would be very boring if we all share the same exact view...  ohh.. If only I can find that Adam clip when he said "What Do You Want from me" to the camera.. I think it's from Rusia. |

I recognize that I really should just walk away from the computer and let this one go. So, I'm gonna let you continue, but....
My understanding of Asperger's is that it includes a lack of social awareness; the inability or lessened ability to pick up social cues thru facial expressions, vocal tone, sarcasm, body language, pitch, irony, etc. This may lead someone with AS to make inappropriate comments, expressing ideas/opinions without tact or a filter.
Asperger's does not cause one to THINK like a bigot. Just to express bigoted thoughts freely without recognizing when to keep those thoughts to themselves.
It was the thought process behind the "Christian" comment that alienated me.
Hope JD gets all the advice he needs from Daughtry. Thanks for taking on this project, Chris! Bless you.
