It is the absolute truth....What a very precious gift you have given people by sharing. It does so much to help reduce some of the ridiculous stigma out there. I can tell you that it is a huge gift for me. With the deepest respect, I thank you. You have touched my heart with your wisdom, courage, and honesty. It is no wonder why this site is so special. How else can we learn and grow but through each others experiences. I feel strongly that this is the fierce kind of courage that Adam expresses and embodies and hope more people will feel the freedom to share in kind. You have set an incredible example. Since you have shared I would like to step onto a small soapbox and say to all here at Atopia. WE ARE ALL human and as such "imperfect." Let us here at Atopia at the very least not feel we need to hide things from each other. Atopians have soo much to give each other. May Atopia be a place where we feel free to share all the parts of ourselves, knowing what a special community it truly is. I just feel strongly that everyone here has treasures to share; wisdom, experiences, knowledge. That we should take some of this down time as an opportunity to do so. We've said many times Adam's community is part of Adam's great gift to his fans. If there is a fear about bringing pieces of the harder part of life into this Adamtopia happy world think of it this way. The main thread is for Adam stuff. It is and will remain the pure joy thread. What you share in the personal thread with others may actual feel like lightening a load when you find that others are handling similar things. That is a very joyful thing. And if you want we can say that what is said in the personal thread stays in the personal thread. So it is its own safe little nest. (OK, off the soapbox. Hope you don't mind Q3 that I took this as an opportunity to say this.) Q3, I love you all the more for this. I would love to have a copy of this in the personal thread. |
