Of course Adam is a big success right now and, I'm sure, pretty financially secure. However, it isn't that long ago he was renting a studio apartment (probably similar to the one Sauli had) and basically living from paycheck to paycheck.
They seem to have amazingly similar backgrounds and interests, and genuine affection for one another. What good luck for both of them to find each other. And that's all we need to know!

Tommy seems like an easygoing, non confrontational person. It's been made pretty clear by Adam himself that he values his friendship and working relationship with Tommy. They've been to the movies and to various public gatherings together-- Adam, Sauli and Tommy-- and I don't see why any other statement is necessary. No matter what, some people will think the worst. Nothing can change that.

Tommy trying to rationalize with that element is an exercise in futility. It's a waste of his time and energy and it's very frustrating for everyone involved that such a small, but vocal minority can spread so much ugliness. Just a general question because while I still do follow Adam's backup band and dancers on twitter I'm not an authority on Tommy. There is no way that Tommy doesn't know about that group of crazy fans that tweet hate to Adam & Sauli. When has He ever point blank told them to stop. If He has I have missed it. He doesn't say anything to them. (the gifts might dry up) By Tommy not making a point blank statement for them to stop hating on Adam's boyfriend that is a statement in itself in my opinion. Adam has gone on record and told people to stop hating on Tommy. Tommy has never told His fans to stop hating Adam and/or His boyfriend. :( To suggest that Tommy is cashing in on the delusions of some fans is really jumping to a conclusion, IMO. People deal with things in different ways. Some prefer to confront and others prefer to ignore. I think Adam reaches a breaking point in which he tries to stop the negativity, but even he must be aware that it doesn't do much good. You can't talk crazy out of being crazy. |

But there are actually more Adam fans whining about the Suali-hating Tommy fans than there are Sauli-haters out there. There is a handful of people who are spewing hate and seem to be doing it just to play with Adam fans -- who continue to jump at the bait and provide entertainment. Best approach is to block trolls and not feed their hate. |

(I follow him, but ironically miss the vast majority of his tweets because he tends to tweet when I'm asleep and I don't read back more than a page or two. I see his tweets only if he's RTed.) But the question of should he or shouldn't he call them out was kind of my point. Would it help or is he taking the Do Not Feed The Trolls approach? The first advice most people get when playing on the Internet is that you do your best to ignore the cray. You don't give them attention or an audience because that's what they are angling for. People have questioned why Alisan gave this person a platform. Would Tommy be doing the same thing? I myself, would derive great satisfaction from a public smackdown, I just don't know if it will have any effect whatsoever. It will not. As you said in your previous post about your friend's husband , what's in THEIR minds has nothing to do with reality. Since I see these people's tweets I can bet you, that if Tommy says anything about this, they will say he was forced by Adam and RCA to do so, poor Tommy blah blah blah. THEY. ARE. DELUSIONAL. Nothing that you say or do will ever change their minds. There are times that I stay with my mouth open from the crazyness they have in their minds. And the worst part is that many of them are grown women. Tommy knows that already and IMO it's good that he ignores or blocks them. |

I believe I had read that Amazon paid the full (vendor) price to GAGA and took a loss to sell it at .99.. so it would count as a sale.. That matter for a wholesale sale for RIAA. For example, if I buy 1,000 FYEs from RCA and give them to everyone here -- that is 1,000 wholesale sale units, but 0 retail sale units. When Amazon sold FYE for $3.99 in November 2009, those sales were not counted as retail sales. Up until this event, a retail sale had to be at least 50% of the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price to count as a Soundscan Retail sale. Two different things. Soundscan changed the rule without explanation but the belief is because they categorized it as a bundled sale with Amazon Cloud service BUT that is free right now. Question: They counted the sales from the $3.99 sale on Amazon last fall for Taylor Swift. Did they change the rules back last fall or was that an exception to the rule as well?? I ask this in case Amazon offers another $3.99 sale on Adam #2 when it comes out. Will those numbers count this time around? |
