Just saw Adam on the Hot Desk show. Sorry, not home - but others will have recorded. Nice interview, he looked great, smiley....flew through a lot of ground from the cruise ship to Idol, Queen and Can't Go Home.... But they gave him such a low chair.... Watched with someone who said she'd always assumed he was tall....why, oh why??!!!

ABSOLUTELY! that's the only reason I know of the place! I have a hard time associating it with anything else...Even seeing the "QAL in Oswiecim" makes me feel sick , just because FOR ME the place itself is so "hard wired" to the horrors of the past... I really understand, I have the same associations. That is why I think the idea that is behind Life Festival is so beautiful. Darek Maciborek who is the creator of the festival think that there is the need to do something for Oświęcim, to show people that there is living city behind tragic history. And to tell people that they have to always remeber what is really important - peace, love, diversity and fight against racism, xenophobia, homophobia. In place like Oświęcim this message is really strong. Congratulations on your win, Nonchallance - and what a wonderful philosophy behind the 'Life Festival'......have a great time!

In place like Oświęcim this message is really strong. And they also invite Israeli artists to perform, which is probably intentional and symbolic. A couple of years ago it was a successful Israeli band called Balkan Beat Box, and this year an Israeli singer called Ninet Tayeb is scheduled on the same day as QAL. And she is... wait for it... the winner of the first season of the Israeli Idol! Like the Israeli Kelly Clarkson.
