Just saw Adam on the Hot Desk show. Sorry, not home - but others will have recorded. Nice interview, he looked great, smiley....flew through a lot of ground from the cruise ship to Idol, Queen and Can't Go Home.... But they gave him such a low chair....  Watched with someone who said she'd always assumed he was tall....why, oh why??!!!  LOL...Somebody should have sat him on a cushion, or a stack of books. |

Congratulations? I don't know what Red Zone means--maybe that's why. Just Googled Oświęcim--"The town is best known as being the location of the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II." Okay ABSOLUTELY! that's the only reason I know of the place! I have a hard time associating it with anything else...Even seeing the "QAL in Oswiecim" makes me feel sick  , just because FOR ME the place itself is so "hard wired" to the horrors of the past... I'm with Nica, QAL in Auschwitz is just incomprehensible to me. If you need to google Oświęcim to learn that this is Auschwitz -it means that it is already forgotten.... The people living in the city Oświęcim denied the existence of the camp and the horrors during the war. They tried to dissociate themselves from what happened from the get go. Seems that they succeeded. This town does not deserve being associated with fun (sorry, this is personal to me - lost many family members there). |

I'm like Jon Snow, I know nothing, but I would guess the different levels was so they could use 2 cameras or two camera settings, one high and one low to save on editing costs. They could even use a single camera if they shot it twice. They jump edited a lot without even trying to make smooth transitions which would require 3 cameras-1 shot Adam, 1-shot interviewer, and a third camera for 2-shots -both interviewer and Adam. I have only seen this done when planning and story boarding what I wanted for final "look" for industry vids. I have done the editing though, and this was very herky-jerky. I didn't realize the extent I love Adam's posture until I saw him on that low couch. It makes him appear less statuesque and powerful. |

But that is the whole point of a "hot desk" interview - the guest must be made feeling small and uncomfortable, with the host towering over him, no matter how tall either one of them really is  Given that premise, he looked awesome! |

Ok, apparently I won 2 tickets on QAL in Oświęcim in some contest in which I participated a few months ago. I totally forgot about that contest. WOW I feel really weird right now, I didn't think about going. Red Zone? I hope I will survive LOL. I'm really happy for you!  OH!! So happy for you!! Have a BLAST!!  |
