IMHO, don't think it is that deep. Someone can become irritated at actions of a few but not dismiss the whole. Using the Grandma term is done by all ages toward a person who is not tech savy. I use it for my youngest son who can barely retrieve voice mail. Ahh I guess I was on subject..."we nasty grandmas have got him into the spotlight" I rest my case Oooooooooo! I like that "Nasty Grandmas" -- sound like a neo-punk rock band.

What did Adam possibly say to get this reaction from some fans about ageism.. I don't usually care for the snapchats but I LOVED the last one.. He is totally talented.. what am I missing??? I'm 76 ,probably the oldest member of Adamtopia..I dance my way through life and sometimes act immature .. so be it . I have found Adam to be very respectful of those who also show respect for him..I have to say I have met some older fans at live performances who embarraseed me by their pushiness and by acting like older self important, entitled groupies. At Miami Pride they got to the front early pushed their way in and left the younger fans in their dust.. I know for a fact that some young gay folks have sometimes given up getting close to the stage or even going to his shows. Now this may have nothing to do with the snapchat, but these are my feelings that I have hidden for a while. IMHO,Yes if you have the money, the time and love for Adam go to his shows.. but you don't own him,let others also get to experience the joy of seeing him and not turn other fans off . Now I might be off the subject ,but I feel a bit bad for Adam.. He has tried kindness, humor and some entitled older fans could care less and think he's kidding when he's annoyed. I'm not hidding behind any couch either because I'm a proud granny who can laugh at herself and knows not to act like my 15 year old granddaughter. If Adam told me to stop taking videos for the 20th time I would stop taking videos, because I respect him as an artist and It's his show. I certainly wouldn't ignore him and continue taking pictures of him telling me off. That's really hutzpah .Sometimes It's just not about YOU. Rant over.. It was worth it even if I'm kicked off Adamtopia Seriously ... if you suspect you 'may' be off subject, when some have meaningful things to say ... then it is only fair to make sure you are on subject...otherwise this is just another version of 'see how i am old too but not like those loser over-sensitive other fans' syndrome. It was just insensitive and rather ignorant to go back to a pic to comment that all those misunderstanding the tech had to be grandma's. Who and what does he think has learned the technology and supported/promoted him throughout social media so that he now was indeed attracting those come-lately young desirable. Sorry but the gay and young fans are only just now coming around after we nasty grandma's have got him into the spotlight. Did we do it all....of course not. But to be dissed by those who would not come around until he was deemed "cool" and now want us all to disappear because we don't have the "cool" factor....how rude. If some of we older fans are willing to be kicked to the back then that is their prerogative but that does not make ageist comments any more acceptable. Ridiculing other's feelings because you either do not fit the demographic or do not feel the same does not make it any kinder. He has every right to diss us, but it is really thoughtless. This was not a "oops...filter took too long to kick in" this was a delayed, deliberate comment. That attitude of "we got him to where he is so he should be grateful" really gets my back up. And I'm not coming at you in particular because you aren't alone in harbouring this sentiment. Jsyk, that really, really, REALLY pisses off the newer fans regardless of their age. And it makes the young fans go ballistic. that attitude is elitist and exclusionary. Other fans see it and feel it. And HE got himself into the spotlight. Not any og glamberts

Given Adam's kind heart and generous spirit, I am with Fan. Of the Man. I'm more than willing to cut him some slack--even if it seems ageist to some here. He's just having a goofy time after what are probably exhausting rehearsals. I took it that grannies was a term of endearment. Personally, I don't take every Adam comment personally. See what I did there?
It seems to me that we all come from different contexts, and how his comment got transferred to the front row situation or taken as a personal slight boggles my mind from my world view.

Well, well, well. Isn't this an interesting turn of events. Adam is so enamored with a particular face swap that he is creating a character, June, who is a Cancer with a Pisces rising and a Scorpio moon. June who sends positive energy so that everyone gets the washer/dryer they want, but that themselves want a man. Will he develop the character or is he done? Who knows?

For the record Adam got him to where he is. I do feel some older fans not here. But they have this self entitltleness. Like they almost feel like they deserves a percent of Adams worth lol. They are no different to any other fan. I think people need to lighten up. So what he referd to some as Grandma. I think he was joking. He has a sense of humour. Looks like some don't.

Adam could never offend me personally cuz I don't know him personally Honest to god, tho, I thought Grandma June was going to begin talking about having a "sweet vision" of Adam Lambert! (Am I the only one who was expecting that?) What a mind-f*ck!

Ok. I'm too excited My youngest son just had a baby girl. Giovanna. First grand baby for us. Yep. A lot of us are grannies Oh well. I'm so happy everyone is perfect Now this is the kind of Granny talk I like to hear!!!!!! Congratulations!! I am a Granny (over 70) and a huge Adam fan. I don't understand why so many fans are upset. The comment about Grannies seemed to infer that Grannies aren't as tech savvy- and in most incidences that is probably true. Can't figure out what this has to do with the front row drama. Adam's comments were more related to people who stand up front show after show and video-not their age. It must be hard to perform to a sea of cameras instead of cheering, happy faces. Adam's not perfect, and I certainly wouldn't want him to be. I can't imagine how hard it must be to constantly weigh every word out of your mouth to be sure someone isn't offended.

His impressions are hilarious. Reminds of Fanny Cradock, famous British TV cook of the 50s-80s.
