The tweets continue but did Adam actually support The Voice. Seems to me that he supported Nakia and Adam Levine but never Tweeted about The Voice. Maybe NBCTheVoice got a special, private tweet.

Adam Levine seems to have gotten a message that he probably didn’t do much good with his “I'm NOT sorry.” tweet. But did he think this would make it any better?

@adamlevine: No disrespect intended for @adamlambert ...I honesty had never heard the song before. I'm not one to take cheap shots like that.

How about just saying, “I’m sorry.”

Well another small incident turns into a win for Adam. He responds to the Twitter outrage with a gracious tweet that includes a reference to his new album.

-- WIN Adam’s tweet gets picked up in a number of articles and by E! News including the reference to his new album.

-- WIN Adam picks up a lot of new Twitter followers jumping from an average of around 900 a day to around 3,600 in 38 hours.

Last night's Voice featured an astounding (though poorly lit) performance of Adam Lambert's "What Do You Want From Me?" by the extravagantly bearded Nakia. By way of praise, Adam Levine admitted, "I'm pretty sure that, although I haven't heard that song before, that you probably sang it better than the person that sang it originally." How could he, right?! Lambert fans took to Twitter in his defense, and the glam icon himself tweeted, "Yeah Nakia! Saaaang boy!! Great performance. I think Adam might know who I am after this next album. Get ready for me Levine. Hahah." The ensuing flurry of retweets have pushed Lambert's sophomore album up 80 places on Vulture's Anticipation Index. Beef! With sequins.

The 'American Idol' Afterglow: 15 Alums Are on This Week's Billboard Charts

Season eight's victor Kris Allen and runner-up Adam Lambert also appear on this week's Billboard charts, two years after their season finale. Allen, who has three No. 1s to his credit, found his "Live Like We're Dying" song re-surge 39-2 on the Christian Digital Songs chart three weeks ago after performing it on a PBS Memorial Day special. The track has since settled back down, falling 27-46 this week. Lambert's hit single "Whataya Want From Me" moved to recurrent status on the Adult Top 40 charts almost a year ago and topped the Adult Top 40 Recurrents chart in September 2010, where it became one of Lambert's six Billboard No. 1s. Now it's one summer later and "Whataya Want From Me" still ranks No. 18 on this airplay list.

These Tweets may not even be related but I think they could be. And Adam + hot wardrobe says that Skingraft is likely to be involved. And Jonny Cota is one of the main designers at Skingraft. Skingraft works with a lot of musicians but I believe that Adam Lambert is Johnny Cota’s favorite musician.

The tweets from Kristee Liu seem to indicate that this will be used in October or November -- that could be related to the new album promotion????

I have changed my recommendation on VH1 Do Something Awards to DO NOT VOTE

On 5.25.11 I recommended voting in this competition. Since then I have done some additional research and testing.

1. Voting for the celebrity online awards is just a way to build awareness for the real awards show.

2, Adam is not nominated for any award. The only way to vote for Adam is as a write-in. It takes much longer to cast a write-in vs. voting for a nominee. There is no limit on voting. So 10 minutes of Adam fan voting time can be wiped out in about 1 minute by someone voting for a nominee.

Poll rating (0=lowest rating, 10=highest rating)

Adam benefit: 3 a win could raise awareness of The Trevor Project.
Fairness: 3 - there is an attempt to limit voting for just one category but it is very easy to work around.
Potential to win: 9 ¨C The voting structure makes a write-in vote very timeconsuming.
Fan value: 2
RECOMMENDATION ¨C vote only if you are willing to work really hard.


About the awards: DoSomething.org and VH1 have partnered to present The Do Something Awards to honor young people's commitment to social change. VH1 is doing a series of online contests to promote this event ¨C they have nominees but also accept write-ins. One of the celebrity categories could help Adam but, more importantly make a difference.
