OT Watching SYTYCD, and not to be mean but why does all the recent David Cook songs sounds like old, bad demos of Daughtry? First The last goodbye sounds like a unfinished 2nd rate version of No Surprise, and Fade Into Me sounds Feels like tonight a bit or another Daugthry tune. I mean I'm not a fan or non-fan of him, think that he is talented, but why are they, trying to make him sound like a Daughtry 2.0? Can't really believe that this is what DC wanted his album to sound like. idk just musing When I heard the DC song I thought it sounded very familiar. I don't listen to DC, don't know his repertoire, but it kept bugging me. So, I did a little investigating and came across "Time of My Life." The melody is different, but the time signature (3/4 time, a waltz feel), the tempo, the musical key (A), and the chords are the same in the beginning, as is the sound of his voice. I guess if you are hoping for a new hit, it is logical to go with what worked for you before. Anyone else hear the similarity? Idk I don't think i really heard, or rather, paid attention the DC tune Time of My Life before, but I might not click on it and listen to it now. Even though i think that he is very talented, his voice almost always sounds so..bland? (if that's the world for it) to me, that it's pretty hard to sit through any song of his for more then a few seconds. Only song that i was actually able to sit through is that one he did with Adam and kris on GMA, and his Always be my baby on Idol was nice, but, yeah..can't really listen to it fully, but the little that i did hear, it does sound similar |

I am thinking that we have gotten some great tidbits during this Adam news drought.
Thanks to Levine, WWFM has gotten a new surge in sales.
Adam has gotten golden press for how he graciously handled the alleged "dis" by Levine.
Adam's tweets give us another example of what a great guy he is.
Levine acknowledges Adam's fans as being extraordinary -- in a positive way.
Adam is feeling very positive and confident about his new album, which is going to feature his voice front and center.
So is everyone else who we have heard is working with him on his album. Glowing reports abound.
We know that he had a recent film shoot to surprise us in a couple of months.
It looks promising for some striking new fashion from Adam and Skingraft.
Sauli is moving to LA. Not just returning for a visit. Moving. Sounds like Adam has a wonderful, happy relationship there.
Recent pics show that Adam is looking better than ever. Sleek, slim, fierce, and happy.
There is a BTM program coming in a month or two. Big time PR and exposure.
We can expect a new single in maybe two months.
Adam continues to be a media magnet, in a good way.
Yup, things are looking very good in Adamland. Despite the feeling that we are getting little or no food for our addiction, we've got lots to celebrate!

OT I just wanted to share my feelings about Amy Winehouse with you.NOT related to Adam AT ALL. NOT implying anything. If it's not appropriate mods can delete it. Amy was supposed to have a few concerts in Europe for those of you who don't know. She was supposed to appear here in Greece also yesterday. However she canceled all her appearances due to her drunk and drugs problems again ,although she's recently got out of a clinic. I feel so so sad about this woman. To me she's a genius. Voice, melody, lyrics, I simply cannot compare her with anyone.The best album of the decade IMO. This is her entrance and her "performance" in Belgrade, Serbia. It all sound like one big mush. That why I said it sounds like demos. Maybe it's the quality of the download/stream, but everything that I have heard sounds like that. |

As I mentioned in the last post, we left Tuesday night's concert and immediately got in line for the Wednesday show.There were about 7 people in line already, some of which were friends we'd made the day before. We hung around a while, then headed to have showers and get about two hours of sleep before rejoining our saved spots in line. Yay friends!
We hustled down the steps once they opened the doors and managed AMAZING spots on the barrier on Tommy's side, towards the center. Needless to say, the show was INDESCRIBABLY AWESOME. I honestly don't have words. If I thought I enjoyed the show from a few people back, imagine what it was like to have Adam in my face OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
