Momtomany's reference to the disco ball inspired me to think about how absolutely bizarre that Queen toured the US with a gigantic mirrored disco ball -- and the associated lighting and performance was so amazing that even the rock-snob US Queen fans, did not dare mock the disco connection. If you would have told a Queen fan in 1979 that Queen would ever perform with a giant mirrored disco ball on stage, they would have just thought you were insane. And even AOBTD, their totally unlikely disco hit, was more funk than disco.
