Hoping for San Diego to make the NFL playoffs and for Adam to sing. Bama is ALL about college football and has no pro team. My fave pro team is San Diego because I love the QB, who went to the same high school as my girls. That will be my dream place for Adam to sing the SSB! I now live near Cleveland -- so I do not have a pro team either right now!! Still miss real pro ball -- that is the SEC!! I hope that by the time the next Super Bowl rolls around in February he WILL be considered big enough. I mean Lee did Half Time at the NFC Championship Game (second-biggest football game, tied with AFC Championship), Kelly, Carrie and JHud have all sang it (has Clay?) at the Super Bowl.

I am 90% sure the "they" is Adam. I believe that Adam decided that he needed to pull back from events and performing and focus on his album/songwriting. Adam is the one who pushed the date back, he is the one who refused to record while touring, and according to RCA Ed, Adam is the one who does not want to do TV appearances and events. I really think this is 100% Adam's choice. My theory: It is his way to get back to what is "real" vs. playing a role -- being on stage. We have no idea if it was Adam that pushed back any dates. RCA / Sony has playing with alot of Artist dates for release pending the new CEO taking charge. When Adam first started talking about dates in the fall it always sound like He was talk in general terms when He said Spring/Summer. Adam has never been great with time/dates ;D I don't believe much what RCA Ed says. He says alot of stuff in order to get the cray cray to calm down on AO. rm64.com/2011/07/07/exclusive-sony-music-in-talks-to-create-label-with-hitmaker-dr-luke/I'm also wondering about this deal between Dr. Luke & Sony. Adam has been writing and working with a lot of people associated with Dr. Luke. hmmm....

Here's a weird one ---
iTunes singles ---
768. Whataya Want from Me – Adam Lambert; #439 on Amazon MP3.
--not in top 1000 -- TLG - David Cook -- and this song is in the top 29 on HAC and on VH1 Large Rotation. (It is #1869 on Amazon MP3.)
This song is not doing anything -- I sure hope RCA has a better strategy for Adam.
NOTE: I know Cook has nothing to do with Adam and I have posted that opinion many times BUT I cannot remember a song from an established artist with radio and VH1 support not being in the Top 1000 on iTunes before. I thought I just missed it on iTunes. Makes me really sad to see this.

I am sure someday Adam will sing the NA at a major sports event. I think he is too big a star to sing it at a random Dodgers game. Not big enough for the Superbowl. And San Diego hasn't had a team in a championship final for the past couple of years. My prediction -- if San Diego makes the World Series, of NFL playoffs, and Adam is available, he'll do a hometown SSB. Well...I hope he will someday be the half-time entertainment at the Superbowl not just sing the NA. I want thousands of people to hear his VOICE through the stadium and their TV sets!! ;D

Wow, it just occurred to me that BTM and the SYTYCD finals are likely going head-to-head on Aug. 10. Man, if Sasha makes it that far, Glamberts are going to be torn. Even if it is DVRed, that would miss an hour of voting. Well, I guess people can still vote even if they are watching the recording of it. Another thing we're going to miss for Sia concert, mys*&@^#r. Oh also, Q3, you might want to note on the upcoming events, that the Do Something Awards are actually taping on Sunday, August 14, so we might get updates from people at the show, etc. Tickets are a mystery right now.

Adam has been writing and working with a lot of people associated with Dr. Luke. hmmm.... Dr. Luke deal has nothing to do with Adam #2. Sony has a long relationship with Dr. Luke and Adam specifically requested to work with him on FYE. In addition Dr. Luke said he wanted to work with Adam again. (2009 interview with Dr. Luke pre-FYE release.) Doug Morris' strategy is to move Sony Music away from the low margin licensing deals -- Idol, X-Factor, AGT, etc. -- and away from th0e special distribution deals that are solely dependent on recording music sales to make money. He want 360 degree deals with artists where SME invest the money but gets a share of everything. That is the Interscope model. To do this, he needs a label team that can develop new artists -- and that is not what Sony has been doing for the past few years. ------ And yes, we have public confirmation that RCA wanted the album out in late Spring 2011 (multiple statements from RCA execs, not just RCA Ed) and Adam did an interview where he said that he decided NOT to record while he was on tour and was hoping to have his album out in Fall. There was a ton of debates here and on other sites about if he could hit RCAs dates. The only way he could have released a single in Spring (March) and Album late Spring (May) would have meant that he just did vocals for songs he didn't create. Because he didn't start writing until February 2011. Usually when albums get pushed back unilaterally by the label (not the case here), it is because the label has NOT accepted the work and they send the artist back to do more work (record something that will sell) AND/OR it is the last album on a contract. Also, based on the leaks from Kelly of two songs -- I can't imagine Kelly is really happy with this electro-pop imitation Pink material. And I am pretty sure RCA pushed it because they needed to shift the risk to the back half of the year. RCA needs to have some hits to cover the loses from the misses. The Kelly album will certainly sell but will also be expensive to release. They had to know that Cook's album was DOA when they released it -- because TLG was not a hit and there is not another better single track on the album. Used to be a label had to have 1 in 9 or 10 albums be a hit, now they need to bat 500%. So the profit from Adele takes care of the loses from some big misses, and the total is OK. ---- RCA Ed does not always know stuff BUT he also has never posted anything that was not true on any of his artists' sites. Sometimes fans do not like what he posts, and sometimes he has an edge that is not needed, but I am unaware of any false info posted by RCA Ed. Even when I doubted him, I later got confirmation that he was correct.

It has an AI on HAC of 1.557, so just not a broad enough audience to make a dent. Also, and sadly for DC, it is really the only radio friendly song on the album. The album is also dropping like a rock on iTunes and Amazon. Going to be rough times ahead for DC! WWFM even 1.5 years later, is getting I believe 3 times more radio spins than Davids song, so probably why it is selling more.
