I think between working feverishly on the actual music, he's thinking of album art/photos, upcoming promo (that he probably knows about tho we don't), etc, etc, PLUS spending time with Sauli and maybe savoring the last few weeks of so-called downtime, no wonder he's off-line a bit.

Also, JMO, but I think there's also a bit of strategy here, and this quiet time is kind of like a line-break between one era and the next. I do think he's reinventing his image and look, and this is a palate-cleansing pause before the next exciting course!!!! :D

Yeah, interesting. And not just that paps aren't there, it's that even the random patrons of restaurants, etc. aren't mentioning him being out and about at all. They must be staying home every night.

I don't agree that any time we question what's going on that it's entitlement. Yes, back in the day fans had much less contact with artists they followed, but that is not the world we are living in now.

Adam has utilized social networking as part of building his brand. He established the relationship early on and now it can be argued that the dynamic is shifting (at least at the moment). Certainly his prerogative, but it's also our prerogative to wonder what it's about. If it's about anything.

I'm thinking of it from a marketing standpoint: Anytime anyone creates a product, they have to prove they have a market for it before they get financial backing. During the entire production process, the creator is developing a marketing strategy simultaneously – tracking the sale of similar products, preparing a campaign, constantly monitoring the behaviors of your target consumers ...

IMO, MINOR contact with his large and loyal customer base is an integral part of a marketing strategy. Years ago, companies paid millions of dollars to do focus groups, surveys, tracking buying habits and developing ad campaigns.

Twitter is a platform that he himself has extolled the benefits of. It doesn't cost a penny and requires literally seconds of his time an pretty much zero energy.

He is killing himself to create a product that he is going to release for sale in a few months. I really think mischa's post at the end of last night's thread nailed it: intermittent contact is priming the pump.

They may be utilizing a different strategy entirely. I just don't happen to get it. Throughout Idol, Adam went online to find out what people were saying (something that took GUTS on his part, as we're all familiar with the level of hate that exists). He has always been extremely committed to reading the market – from all sides of the industry. This is why his current silence confuses me.

I'm sure someone has mentioned this, and if so - sorry for the redundancy! Isn't Brooke getting married this summer? I would assume that Adam would go to NY to attend, right?

On June 19th she tweeted that she was getting married in two months from that day, so August 19th I guess.

And a long while back her tweets indicated she was looking at venues in Northern CA Wine Country. My neck of the woods. I'm polishing my stalking shoes as we speak... (Just kidding, LOL!)
