How the hell does that genie thing work? I thought of Scout Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird. The questions were so general--i.e., "Does the character live in the United States?" and "Has the character ever been in a movie?" I thought it would never get it. But it did! I literally gasped out loud. Glad you joined us, joky!ETA: Holy cow! I just did Sauli on the genie thing. One wrong guess, a few more questions, and it got it. I'm am Blown. Away. Even the speed at which the right questions come up amazes me. It asked if the character won a reality TV show before it could have possibly pinned it down to Sauli.

Well, as peeps here are so fond of games...you can play with this genie in a bottle...it can read your mind. ;D en.akinator.com/#It read my mind 100% correct. Scary This IS scary! I tried with some Finnish people and it worked 100 %! I tried this several week ago and it was able to guess Tommy, Monte, and Cam but only after 60 questions. The only obscure person it didn't get was Sasha (but that was before SYTYCD)-- it really is weird. Oh, and I think I'm in a perpetual state of ACCEPTANCE due to my excitement for what is to come. On a personal note: my house went on the market 4 days ago. Today will be our third showing and a repeat showing today. Keep your fingers crossed for me Atoppers. This is nervewracking already--I don't know how Smokey's been handling it.

Regarding the report of Adam singing "True Colors" -- since no one else has reported it, I am skeptical. The Adam was walking down the street to the Pig makes more and more sense. But this is a real girl who was in the show. So I still think that some singing was involved. Perhaps the Tweeter misunderstood what happened. I go with the original thought -- they sang a piece of "True Colors" together on the street, took the photo and both went their own ways. I really believe there must be some basis for the story and this does not seem like troll action. I can't see Adam going anywhere besides walking down the street dressed so casually, unfortunately. And why would he have changed? I'll go with the casual encounter theory.

I need to step away from the computer NOW!! I thought of Socrates and Ian Anderson and he was right within 15 questions! They have a REALLY good programm there! They not only guess it, they have a photo too! OK There's something going on. I was signed as my user name, age, and female. I didn't sign off and I told my son to come and play to my laptop the game. He thought of Tom Morello and the picture we got is from a donkey! HAHAHA!! And he just couldn't find it no matter what! He kept showing pictures of abscure unknown ordinary faces! There must be a link to your interests through web there!!

Hi Atopians! I wanted to delurk and say hello and thanks to all of you, especially Q3, for keeping Adamtopia alive and awesome. After the last board stopped working, I decided it was a sign I should not log in again and try to stop Adam stanning so much. Alas, it is to no avail. I am here lurking almost daily, even if only at the end of the night to see what's been happening--or, in the case of the last few weeks, what has NOT been happening. Welcome joky. I remember you. Glad you decided to delurk! Hi Joky!! Good to see you again!! And thanks!! I really haven't watched any of the full GNTs – just a few here and there, but on your recommendation, I'm going to put the Louisville vids in a playlist and watch them all on the big screen this afternoon. (After another game with the Akinator and quick run to the store ...) BTW, Q3, glad it was another one of your trademark spellings, but I kind of freaked when you called it the Aikenator DNW visual of Clay in swami garb.

Regarding the Genie -- the programming is simple, but the work to build that database is quite amazing.
Someone collected the images and facts about every celebrity and character in the database, coded each with the answers to a lot of questions. The program starts with a few basic questions that eliminate a lot of options, then keeps splitting the remaining possible people into two groups based on any unanswered question.
Male/Female -- is the first split into possible and impossible answers.
And so on.
Impressive work.
ETA: Oooooops on the typo -- but it is so funny I will leave it. And must have been a subliminal typo because I was thinking of Adam and it asked me if my character was gay -- I was worried that I would get Clay.

I am here lurking almost daily, even if only at the end of the night to see what's been happening--or, in the case of the last few weeks, what has NOT been happening. The anniversary of the EPIC (yes, I am using that word) Louisville GNT show forced me to register and say how much I love Adam still! Thanks, 4Msrmyn, for the link to the Louisville concert vids, which I have just spent the last hour+ watching/reliving. I have to say that as much as I love the GNT DVD, I wish I could have a high-quality DVD of the Louisville show--it was just so amazing. Adam was perfection on every level—his voice, his moves, his energy, his happiness, his sexiness--even more than usual, it seemed. It was as if everything--the crowd, the timing of a month into the tour, the acoustics of the theater, perhaps the realization that people in the Southern states loved him too?--all converged to produce a beyond-the-normal-amazing performance from Adam. I had just been to Knoxville and and thought it was wonderful, but then the Louisville show blew that out of the water for me. Ah, the memories! Anyway, I am hoping the drought ends soon, too, but realize that it will all be worth the wait. Frankly, I want to just hear him sing anything--it could be the ABCs! Don't care what--I know I will love it! Thanks for making Adam stanning so easy and fun--all of you rock! Atopians are the best! Welcome home JOKY - So wonderful you decided to delurk! Remember meeting you briefly in Knoxville and missed you in Louisville, but knew you were there from your recap and pictures.

From Evergreen: Savvy: As a midwest transplant to NC (about 70 miles from MB), I find it so interesting how some people who are most "devout" seem to find it perfectly ok to go the "the beach" and then the rules seem to go out the window! Kind of "What happens in MB stays in MB"... I expect none of them is any more perfect than you are. I could say relax and be yourself, but that would be hypocritical of me, because I am the same way with my inlaws! BTW - Love the Adult Truths![/quote] **************************** Maybe it's like us feeling okay getting a little glittery at Adam concerts, I don't know. Back in the 90's, some friends of mine here had a pool band that played at the Holiday Inn. On Saturdays they would have a late afternoon bikini contest and sometimes it wasn't a pretty sight to behold. But I used to have mixed emotions, one minute wondering, "What are you thinking?" but the next minute thinking, "Good for you! No one knows you, have fun!" I know when I went to my first Adam show, HOB MB, I was a little saner because I worked there and knew everyone. After that, it never ocurred to me that I had to act my age. Anonymity is awesome! By the way, I don't know how to delete the long quotes which is why this is looking funky.

Babs Well, I'm off to an annual family reunion. I missed it last year due to the Louisville concert. I'm kinda dreadin it......I can just hear it now......."Oh, you poor little thing.....we drove by and saw all the tornado destruction.....how are you coping?....bless your heart, you've been in our prayers, etc".......and then, one by one, they notice an inked # 8 on my wrist, and then it's "What in the world is that??? Are you having a nervous breakdown??? I can't believe you got a tattoo !!! What do you think your late mother would think??? LOL.....then back to the " you poor thing....I will continue to pray for you"...... It's gonna be a looong day ! This made me laugh, Bama, because every time I visit my son in Birmingham over a holiday and we go to his in-law's, I am exhausted from the effort to be on my best behavior. Now, I don't drink, smoke, swear (casually,) or tell dirty jokes, but it's hard for me not to find humor in situations that are absurd or keep my mouth shut when some particularly conservative conversation starts. Don't even get me started when the subject is music, even before Adam, and I'm expected to chime in on which Christian group or sedate country singer, is my favorite. Don't get me wrong, they are wonderful people, but just so perfect. I used to be perfect then got divorced, moved to Myrtle Beach, and went berserk. That was 20 yrs ago, so I can barely remember much about my former stellar self. Ha, ha. I think they feel I'm even past the "bless her heart" stage. I love hearing stuff about "southern culture". I wish you guys would tell more stories... it's kind of like reading about a different planet, LOL!!! and savvy92, you might be beserk, but you're doing it perfectly!
