[ Have you guys seen Lady Gaga's cover for You and I j.mp/pDsDVDMakes Adam's FYE cover look boring and normal Adam's cover will always be colorful and interesting to me though Gaga does pull off looking like a guy  At least she's making original art unlike sometimes  :  |

Rihannasu, I've always been under the impression that he is adjusting his monitors, not rubbing his ears. He adjusts them constantly. Will watch OOL again, but it looks like he has a volume control on them, because he uses a thumb and index finger to tweak. ETA: I think he is trying to muffle the crowd noise at the beginning of OOL and transitioning from full-band to acoustic. I don't think there is a volume control on the ear monitor itself. That would be on the transmitter pack that he wears on his back under his shirt. mostly the volume level is controlled from the sound board in my understanding. Yes he does adjust his ear monitors a bit but this was almost continous during the intro and seemed much more of a nervous reaction fiddling than usual. Plus he has done the same ear rubbing pinching thing in interviews when he is nervous usually when making risque comments that may not go over well. |

Wow. O______o Innnteresting. OMG!! Watching that just-posted FYE/DTRH/Strut vid and though the sound isn't great, the view of the stage, graphics and Adam's dancing is AWESOME. That tail is still cracking me up. The way it flips and swishes every time he moves is beyond lulzy.   |

Hmm, why do I find the image of Adam sitting at a desk going through offers so hot... :-[ 8-) God Gelly is such an integral part of Atop. If she were here I'd ask her about the photo of Adam at an office desk and post it pronto but alas I must just footnote it... :( bb I'm just here for 10 minutes just to read the thread and then leave again but I couldn't resist.  And Lulu2365 I love you bb!!! Hi everybody I'm having a great time in London but I miss you all!    |

Awww, great story! Fun to find Adam fans to share with and right in your own family! But please don't base your assessment of all 62 year olds love of internet and music on your mom's. Lots of 60+ ladies on this board that are 25 at heart. And, I'll bet your mom is too!  There's a freedom that comes around age 50, that most younguns just don't realize because they think it is "old." But with the kids raised and on their own, it is a time that many women of a certain age FINALLY get back to being the self they were before family had to come first. It's a beautiful thing! Take your mom to a concert, I'll bet you guys will have a ball and you'll see a side of her that you never knew existed!  Oops. I think I came across as ageist, when I didn't mean to be. My point was, my 62 year YOUNG mother (who is the life of the party, has a better social life than me, who is incredibly informed on politics, culture, economics and other affairs, and who loves nothing better than a good debate) has stated for the record that she is too old to learn how to use the internet, and that's that as far as she is concerned. I think she is missing out, the conversations she could have with people about the topics she is passionate about...but nope, not having it. And she is an insatiable reader, but simply has no interest in listening to music. Although she is quite happy to drool over Adam pictures with me, now. :-) There, just wanted to explain myself. I never worry about the comments like "nobody I know knows who he is" because it is meaningless in the grand scheme of things. There are billions of people on this planet and there is plenty of evidence that even the absolutely most well known things are still unknown to many many people. This was driven home to me when I dove into to U2 fandom several years back. This was during the Vertigo tour era 2005-2006 and they as heavily promoted as Gaga then, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame and won 5 Grammies including Album of the Year and yet less than 25% of my customer base had ANY inkling of who they were. Some would maybe guess "are they a band?" maybe a few more would know who Bono was like "Oh, you mean that Africa guy with the sunglasses". This was arguably the biggest band on the planet in the midst of a HUGE tour and plenty of people had no clue who they were. No one individual is the be all and end all of relevance and no statement that "no one I know knows him" has any relevance at all to his career.
