I think most recording artists have scrambled brain cells too. There are so many people who get a piece of the pie -- that sometimes the artist doesn't even end up with a plate, forget about a slice. And they don't even realize it. Q3 just how many contracts does Adam have with 19? I know there's 19 Recording, 19Management cross that out, and 19 Merchandising. Anything else. I do not know. At least 2. But probably more. There is basically one contract that all the Idol Finalists have to sign that covers all the parts of their deal with 19 --- recordings, merchandising and management contract rights. There is a separate management contract that 19 has with the Idols that they decide to manage. And there is a recording contract with RCA which is technically a licensing deal from 19 to RCA. Then there are contracts for everything you can think of -- lots of contracts -- merchandise, concerts, appearances, so many contracts. The only major contract that has been made public is the Idol Finalist contract -- the AI8 Idol finalist contract had to be filed with the California Court for the minors on Adam's season. |

Scrambles mine even more, I don't understand a word of it, but I read it, nod to myself and marvel at all those that do understand it!! LOL I enjoy my blissful ignorance re: same, I can just keep flailing away at the voice/pretty pics/concerts /you guys and your awesomeness. It is one less thing for me to worry about  If he's happy (and he appears to be) I am happy....I'm simple like that. Yup. That would be me, too. :  It's just that there seems to be so many companies within companies within companies and parent companies that begat other companies and breakaway companies that begat still more companies and subsections of sections that begat other subsections... and like Q3 says, they all want a piece of the pie... Part of me thinks, "Well, no wonder the music industry is so fucked up." Nobody can keep track of anything any more. Yeah.. just give me the pretty pics and the voice! |

Q3: You mentioned earlier being glad that Adam did not go with Simon Fuller. Do you think XIX was one of Adam's choices?

I think (?) Scotty and Lauren's from Season 10 surfaced not too long ago for the same reason but I haven't time to go searching for them. |

OMG it sounds like the singers are indentured servants.. Hope Adam had his lawyer with him when he got signed.
Ya know every time Adam does a life time portrait,i.e. VH1 ,the whole out gay singer starts all over again. I agree that it's great for kids who have been bullied or kafutzed about life in general. I'm just wondering if Adam will ever just be the great singer.. without the labels.
The media was starting to introduce stories about Adam as the Grammy nominated singer,the GNT singer ,etc. and now back to the beginning.
There are so many gay people in the entertainment industry and they are not stereotyped.. is their hope for Adam?
