I'm popping in from lurkdom to report that I just met an Adam fan in Bangladesh!  (I'm here in Dhaka for a month-long visit.) It's telling that within one hour of meeting a Bangladeshi friend of a friend I brought up Adam, lol, but to my amazement she immediately began lamenting the fact that he didn't win AI8. Turns out she & her 16-yr old daughter watch AI on some Indian satellite TV channel they get here, and apparently Adam made quite an impression on them. I regaled her with tales of what he's been up to, educated her on how to access his youtube vids, tweets, etc., and she left with copies of FYE, Acoustic, and GNT DVD/CD. (They're apparently not available here, prob because everything here is pirated.) So that made my day. BTW, Adamtopia has really helped keep me sane these last 3 weeks. It takes an eternity to buffer the YT vids and photos, but I'm so grateful that I'm able to keep up with the latest Adam news & analysis even from here. So awesome, thanks for sharing, and welcome! |

Continuing the discussion from yesterday about teens & younger people listening to Adam... My daughter (17 next month) and I were at home yesterday when Liam McEwan's Adam Lambert hour was on. We were both in our living room on our computers. I was listening to the show while browsing and she was skyping with a friend from Florida. Apparently, my volume was up loud enough for my daughter's friend to hear what I was listening to. ;D Her friend (18) said "I love Adam Lambert"! It was totally unexpected and his words made me very happy and excited. I quickly got in on their conversation and told him when the new album is coming out and to watch for the next tour because he said he "wants to see him live"! So, you never know when a new Adam fan will pop up and make your day!  |

I am trying really hard not to feel sad that we are VH1 scorned here in Canada. Will be sitting on the edge of my computer chair waiting for YouTube.

Last week, I got a call from my BIL who was in Houston on a business trip (he is prez of the largest oil company in the Philippines). He asked if my DH and I were free for the weekend (and I thought, oh no....cannot interfere with BB's VH1 special !!!). He wanted to come with 2 of his business associates. Of course, I had to say yes as he is married to my beloved sister.
They arrived Friday night and saw the Adam poster that we had for the GNT viewing party as well as all the Adam magazines on the coffee table. Surprise, surprise, they know of Adam because he is very popular there and their wives are big fans! They like him too (nice to know since these are executives in their 50's). Needless to say, their wives are getting copies of the EP and GNT DVD (always keep these handy - you never know when an Adam fan shows up on your frontstep).
As much as I love my BIL, glad they are leaving this evening to go back to Houston. So I have my night free to spend with Adam. (They played golf yesterday and are playing golf again today - they flew all the way from Houston just to play golf - said it was too hot to play there. Men, spent >$700 each for airfare just to play golf!
Back to the kitchen to cook lunch as they will be ravenous when they get back from the golf course.

We or at leas I will be doing exactly the same here in Finland! How quicly do you think the first YouTubes will appear? But Yippee, IT´S BTM DAY! Or BTM morning for me, but anyway...  |
