Last week, I got a call from my BIL who was in Houston on a business trip (he is prez of the largest oil company in the Philippines). He asked if my DH and I were free for the weekend (and I thought, oh no....cannot interfere with BB's VH1 special !!!). He wanted to come with 2 of his business associates. Of course, I had to say yes as he is married to my beloved sister. They arrived Friday night and saw the Adam poster that we had for the GNT viewing party as well as all the Adam magazines on the coffee table. Surprise, surprise, they know of Adam because he is very popular there and their wives are big fans! They like him too (nice to know since these are executives in their 50's). Needless to say, their wives are getting copies of the EP and GNT DVD (always keep these handy - you never know when an Adam fan shows up on your frontstep). As much as I love my BIL, glad they are leaving this evening to go back to Houston. So I have my night free to spend with Adam. (They played golf yesterday and are playing golf again today - they flew all the way from Houston just to play golf - said it was too hot to play there. Men, spent >$700 each for airfare just to play golf! Back to the kitchen to cook lunch as they will be ravenous when they get back from the golf course. Happy Sunday to all and happy viewing! Woman, you are always cookin'. The queen of hospitality! $700 airfare for a round of golf? Hey, they could be Adam fans--we know $$ is no object for us!  |

I am trying really hard not to feel sad that we are VH1 scorned here in Canada. Will be sitting on the edge of my computer chair waiting for YouTube. You Canadians are not alone... We or at leas I will be doing exactly the same here in Finland! How quicly do you think the first YouTubes will appear? But Yippee, IT´S BTM DAY! Or BTM morning for me, but anyway...  It should be up on YouTube within an hour of it finishing I would guess!!! And it looks as though there will be live streams!! |

I was picking up my grandson and a friend I hadn't met before from soccer practice yesterday. It's a 35 min drive in best scenario, so while they were gabbing I was listening to a CD with variety of Adam from IS ANYBODY LISTENING to AI tour STARLIGHT to CLYG. The friend, 15, said, "Is that Adam Lambert?" to which my grandson groaned. Seems that his whole family loves Adam and went to both Cleveland and Erie concerts - mom, dad, college age brother, 10 yr old sister, and him. Mom also went to both NYC concerts with friends.
Also have to mention my grandson, total 1970s music fanatic, told me during the same Adam conversation, that the 2 best singers on the planet were David Bowie and Selena Gomez. I came back and wrote him out of my will! I'm assuming the Selena thing is a hormonal disfunction, otherwise it's unforgivable.

So waking up at 5AM isn´t that much worse... ;D And yes, let´s hope the live stream will work... Please, please, please... |

Lesson: Adam will say words. The media will cut-and-paste and creatively ~arrange his words to maximize drama. Also, sometimes Adam will say words that you don’t agree with and wish he wouldn’t have said. That’s okay, because sometimes you say words that Adam doesn’t agree with and wish you wouldn’t have said. It all works out.
