Just a quickie. I'm on vacation this week at the shore. Thursday is family day on the main shopping strip . They showcase various artists/musicians/singer/pony rides for kids , face painting etc. As I'm walking checking out various shops, I notice a young DJ who is new. I go up to him cause he is playing party rock anthem. Finally a more current sound and not the old frank Sinatra songs usually played.
I ask to make a request. Quess my request? iIHy. He says I know that song everyone knows it. Sure enough he plays the song. I'm watching shoppers and lo and behold a few are singing along! Just fun! So that is my contribution to the Adam fan club for today. Heading ba k to the beach!

So happy for you... having a grand, amazing time...with special people who were hosting/sharing with you in your journey through the eastern regions, sharing in the Adam experience.
Getting to meet so many fellow fans... You got to attach faces to so many names we see in the blogs! Lucky you!
APPRECIATE ALL the details...ahhh...living vicariously through your re-cap.
And I do think Sasha deserves a win.

Good point, but I think (hope) she knows we love her. I keep contrasting her fierce beauty on SYTYCD with her big glasses, hat, no make-up, licking ice cream cone on one of their outings during GNT. Just as with Adam, the mix of goofy and fierce is irresistible. If she wins, the quarter of a million dollars will make her feel validated, don't you think?  I have been slightly surprised that nothing has been said or even alluded to about her association/work with Adam all season. Not even in auditions. It would be an interesting back story, but instead, all we got was the sister act. The omission of the Adam connection appears to be intentional. To avoid even the appearance that the voting could be influenced. I wonder, now that the voting is over, will they mention it? Certainly some in the media will postulate that Sasha won because of the Glamberts. And, in truth, Adam's fans probably did vote more for her because they knew her from GNT. How much of a bump she got we will never know. However, all season she has gotten lots of positive feedback from the judges and the choreographers, who would not be influenced by the fact that she worked for Adam. No one has ever commented that she didn't have what it takes to win.... quite the opposite. They have always identified her as a front runner, based on her dancing and her personality. And, from Sasha's tweets it is clear that she is thrilled to have made it all the way thru to the finale, and knows that her future is bright. Sasha tried out for SYTYCD before meeting Adam and made it.. I believe She quit to go on the road with GNT.She's her own person and IMHO probably would like to think her talent gets her our votes. |

Just emerging from some time in lurkdom, because I just read Hoopla's recap/epistle of her trip north. I'm so envious of all you in the US who get to meet up like this, but even if I never get over there, I think I've lived it vicariously with this post; it just oozes fun and camaraderie and generally was a joy to read  . Thank you so much Hoopla, and Sugaree for posting; I'll be watching for the pics  . |

I think Sasha was soo good. I have to admit that I was surprised at her ability.
But knowing who Sasha was made watching SYTYCD so much more of an expierence. It was like I was more invested. I haven't voted for anything on tv since Adam but I have been voting for Sasha all season.
I would love to see her win and if we voted for her it was not just because Adam asked us to but because she is really good and she is family.
To bring this back to Adam, if Sasha wins Adam will be happy and who doesn't love a happy Adam?
