I just read Q3's comments on page 1 about the secrecy around Adam#2. I admit, the lack of news has me nervous about the release dates. I hope that it does come out in Nov. I can get a knot in my stomach worrying what will happen if the album isn't as good as we hope. Is the lack of news a sign that it's not good news? I want to trust Adam and his instincts but I am a bit nervous. Sorry for being a downer. I guess today I need to be talked off the ledge. No problem. I've certainly been on that ledge before and had to have someone talk me off of it and it will probably happen again. LOL But right now, I'm not worried at all. Adam wants this album to be a surprise and personally, I'm good with that even though it's really hard not to know exactly when the new single will be released, what promo he's going to be doing, are there any TV appearances coming up, etc. I'm living by the saying of "good things come to those who wait." Hearing OOL really got me even more excited and hopeful for the new album. In the meantime, I'm trying to get a lot of RL stuff taken care of so when the storm arrives, I'm ready! And, I totally agree with Q3: Adam's in charge so I say "no worries." |

Those cat gifs are fantastic & adorable Lulu! Did you find them or MAKE them? I found/borrowerd/stole them. I have no clue how to make a gif.  I found a lot just by using google and typing "cute cat gifs"  Also if you go to photobucket even if you don't have an account and type in the search menu what you want you will find almost anything. photobucket.com/ |

I think keeping album details under wraps, for now, is a very good thing. Look at all the hype Gaga tried to create with her, "This is the album that will change the world!" Huh? What? Really? "Um, NO!"
IMO, better to expect a good album and be extremely surprised with great! And, if the album is coming out in Nov., I am not expecting a single until mid to end of Sept. So, I think we have a full 4-6 weeks of more patience.

And, SUGAREE, thank YOU for c/p'ing my recap in Quebec thread! I had it all pretty w/pics and vids in appropriate places--but it was my first time trying to attach a doc here (thx, 4ms!) and it was too big, so I took out most pics. The link works for me (have to wait a few seconds after you click on it)--but lesson learned! I'll just type as a post in the first place if there is a "next" time! Okay, RL demands attention again... Just want to say Lulu, your missing-Gelly gifs are GREAT! Re: Sasha--she was definitely my fav dancer--so I voted for her based on that and pleasure of watching her on GNT. Adam fans voting for her sure can't hurt, but I'm sure no one took the trouble to do it without truly appreciating HER talent. I'll bet she knows this. Hope so, anyway. I tweeted "toppy"Adam/Sasha last night that I was voting for her cause she DESERVES it, not because he said to! Is winner announced tonight?? Your full recap is something we need to save. What do I know about Adam Lambert that might be relevant to the album release? 1. Adam is a perfectionist and a control freak when it comes to his sound, his music, his performance. I would not be surprised if he is thinking, "Just one more take, and I can make it better." "I think I have another great song in me. Let's try one more round of writing." "These are the songs for the album. Definitely. I think. But, then, there is this one....." "The final mix on this is NOT the final mix. I still don't like....., I think it would sound better if these two notes were...." etc. etc. 2. Adam has a strange sense of time. Or no sense of time, when he is involved in creating, promoting, doing his job. 3. Adam is a savvy, astute business person who has learned a great deal in the last two years. He knows the importance of timing the release of an album for the holiday season. Therefore, despite #1 and #2, I believe his album will be released in time for the end of the year holiday buying sprees. He may push it to the limit, tweaking til the last possible minute, but I don't think he will lose that window of opportunity. 4. Adam is a collaborator. And a charmer. And a great reader of other people. I am confident that Adam has produced songs that RCA will approve. I believe he has been in continuous talks with them along the way. If he learned one thing from the <cough AMAs cough>, it is to not surprise the men in the suits. I think there is about a zero possibility of him being sent back to the drawing board to start over, ala DC. All in all, I haven't even pulled my worry beads or stress ball out of the drawer for Album #2. I am just excited, not concerned. Why so little news? I don't know enough about the business to have an educated guess. But, he seems to be getting a lot of mention in the press for every little tidbit of "non" news and every hint of info about the album. Maybe he doesn't need to leak anything more? He knows that ANY leaks will make it round the world in about an hour, and generate at least a dozen articles. I can understand his instinct to play it close to the vest in order to have maximum impact when it releases and blows everyone away. Yeah, I know that will happen. It is gonna be sooooooo good. |

I want to trust Adam and his instincts but I am a bit nervous. My speculation: I think that something in their promo strategy is vitally dependent of the songs/single not leaking. Maybe they plan to offer something for free and hope that it will go viral, or some other viral thing. The fans already sharing songs but being as quiet as possible about it would dampen that down. Or maybe there are suits that don't trust in Adam's track record of his fans legally paying money for songs that they have already attained illegally, and as a result, have set a Fort Knox over them. I'm sure that the regular channels (for potential leaks) like giving out review copies will be taken in use later in any case. Adam introducing the one song from the album shows that it's in his control what to give and what we'll have to wait for. It's much better than the Kelly Clarkson situation, where about half of her songs leaked before publishing. So I'm not worried about the minimal amount of information at this point. However, I do share a mild worry/dismay over unset release dates. For the stores to stock their supply and radios to plan their programming, they should already have received the dates. So why aren't they officially announced? Probably because the album and the single aren't finalized yet (or the single hasn't been chosen yet), and they have decided not to give an official date as long as it's in the realm of possibility that the date could be pushed forward. I don't know which is better: having the dates, but then see them pushed, or having no dates at all but trusting that when you finally hear them, they are set in stone. |

And have gone through my frustration – rage – acceptance – frustration – angst – zen – teeth gnashing – flail mode over and over ... and over again. If Adam hadn't said on more than a few occasions he was keeping it close to the vest, I would be worried. If he didn't seem sublimely confident, to the point of looking like the cat who ate the canary at times even, I might be worried. I have believed all along this is a strategy and I said all along that I don't know that I understand it. Now hearing about the management change (excellent timing) also the C-level transitions happening at Sony – though I don't think it's necessarily affecting timelines, I DO think they were NOT making official announcements because of it. I've been visualizing the moment when we fianlly get THE TWEET. "Hey guys, my single is going to debut on XXX show on XXX date!!!!!!!"  This happens VERRRRRY soon!!!!
