I think it varies a lot depending on how promo is handled, but FYE single premiered on Ryan's radio show on October 30th, was released for purchase on November 3rd. The FYE vid premiered on November 24th on VH1. And it debuted the week of November 28th on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. The album itself was released November 23rd. But I really really really hope and believe that the first single from #2 will be released a couple months before the album release. To be eligible for a Grammy nom, the single would have to be out by September 30th, I think. wouldn't it be better for the first week sales if the single would be released after 1-2 weeks after radio and musical channel premiere? I'm not watching alot musical channels in the past years, but I had the impression, that the single release often was a few weeks after the video premiere, there would be more time to promote the single before release and having better first week sales (which are important, right?). I'm just guessing, but maybe the FYE video had been released later, because there was no time to do it earlier. Releasing the single 6-8 weeks before the album, builds aniticipation for the album for non-stans. The single always comes out before the video, in the US. Sometimes the video is much later. Adam's videos were timed pretty well, IMO. Most singles are released first and then go to radio a few weeks later. People like Gaga and Katy Perry do not even need radio add dates, because the stations start playing them as soon as they are released on i-Tunes. If Adam could get 2 solid hits in a row, I think he could fall into the group of artists that get their songs played immediately. |

Just ordered mine too. Hope it does well for the project. You know, I really don't wear much jewelry, so I just made a donation to the Trevor project thru the site rabbit set up. I wouldn't buy it just to meet that goal because only 30% goes to Trevor. I don't wear my Eye Of the Horus necklace but I've hung it on my center mirror in my car so I can see it when I drive. I bought the Peace necklace and will hang it there, too. My younger son has ordered the two Adam's necklaces and wears them both at different lengths so they both show! He is now ordering the new one...humm...wonder how he'll wear this one too?  |

Just did a google search for when Katy Perry's single and album was released. Just for comparison because Adam is with Her management company. Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" album was released in the United States on August 24, 2010. California Gurls song was originally intended to be sent to mainstream and rhythmic airplay on May 25, 2010. If we compare someone that was on the RCA label that released last November We have Lee Dewyze who released His single "Sweet Serendipity" on October 13, 2010. The album Live It Up was released on November 16, 2010. Kelly Clarkson is suppose to release Her single soon with Her album being released October 25th. |

I know not everyone can afford it, but if those who can will order it, the goal will be reached. gah....I've been going back and forth over this. Gonna be honest, not that enamored with the peace sign. I love my Infinity pendant but haven't worn it because I didn't like the chain....haha! I sound horrible and entitled, I know, I know. BUT I've just ordered a lovely 30" silver chain and think I'll buy the Peace pendant to wear with the Infinity pendant on that same necklace... would that work?? ....lord, I'll probably have to buy another chain! LOL! (My favourite is still the Eye of Horus....wish I'd got in on that one! :() durberville: I bought a different chain right away, and not I wear my infinity pendant almost every day! |
