Q3: Thank you SO MUCH for your response - I really appreciate your taking the time to answer our questions!! You're AMAZING. Full stop. I thought the management company dropped Archie and, in poor taste, they were the ones who disclosed that Archie was dropped from Jive. They did it via Twitter. It just happened last week. Here is the sequence.... Jive dropped Archie. Archie was given time to announce that he was dropped by Jive and did not do anything about it. Best PR practice is to put together a statement that makes it look like you parted ways with your label. Then he parted ways with Wright Management -- it is not clear why, but he had only been there since September 2010 so it was a short relationship. From MJsBigBlog.... His WEG manager, Melinda Bell spilled the news in a twitter message, “Attn David Fans- unfortunately WEG and David have chosen not to continue work. We wish him the best in whatever he chooses to do. More 2come”
Melinda Bell tweeted to a fan who asked why they split up, “he doesn’t know a good thing when he sees it I guess.”
Earlier today David tweeted, “Decisions.. They are scary things before knowing what could happen after you make them, but I’m excited for what the future holds.” Later fans tweeted Melinda a question if David had left Jive. She responded, “The other way around, correct.” I do not follow David closely, but artists cannot leave a label before the contract term is up, the label can drop an artist whenever they want under 99.9999% of major label contracts. David was dropped by Jive because his last album only sold 60,000 units and had no hit single and he has no artistic direction -- why invest $2 million in a new album for him. It is always about the money. Being dropped by Wright Management is likely very different -- maybe they have a different vision for David than he sees. He seems to want to be a pop/CHR artist and he really doesn't fit the market. It is brutal to be dropped by your label -- but this can't be a surprise. He has probably known it was inevitable for a few months and should have gotten ahead of it. I like Archie, and hope he takes some time away from the music business, goes to college and starts to discover who he is. Seems to me that he really never got a chance to grow up. Very similar to Allison Iraheta except Archie was more successful and popular.

The idol prom? Could they think of a goofier name? IKR? Visualizing ruffled shirts and butterfly bow ties. Heart a-flutter.......... blue tux to match his eyes? Matching blue patent leather boots, kinda the color of the Ford Fusion he refused. Oh dear, if only he had kept that Fusion, he would have been all set. Or he could just wear the aqua board shorts with a matching aqua tux jacket. The possibilities are endless.

You know what I just realized, from the pictures, that makes me think they were posed for? Adam took his sunglasses off. Why in the world would he have his sunglasses off with the sun glaring on that light blue water unless he wanted his face to be seen. Sauli has his on. Adam has photos, when he is out and about taken with his sunglasses on all the time. So, although the pics may say Splash, my guess, like Suzie's, is that these were taken by the hotel photo staff and were agreed to be released for publication. Perhaps Splash was the one who got the deal. My second thought is, if this trip is considered an endorsement deal of the hotel by Adam, does that make this trip a business write off, instead of a "free trip.?" The trip was free. He probably got everything comped by doing some photos for the resort. ITA those photos were posed -- look like promo shots to me -- and often these deals use a cooperative independent photographer to get the photos out -- that way they do not look staged. It is a routine practice for promoting products, brands and destinations. Adam does not always deal for stuff so hard to be sure -- for example, he has done tons of mags for free. Many celebrities do not do that.

Yes, ITA. And neither one look frustrated or aggravated to me - just looks like Adam and Sauli having a great time! Ah - such pretty boys. Adam looks like a Greek god, actually. *whimper* 8-)

A hotel like this would not allow paps, and these photos are too good to have been taken from behind the bushes or whatnot. Two things: One, I think you underestimate the power of a telephoto lens on an professional camera. Have you ever seen the size of those things? Two, the resort owns the bungalow but not the ocean. A certain number of feet of the shore is considered part of the ocean. This is international law. How do the fancy resorts combat this? They block off the entrance to the beach. If you found a public footpath, and had the balls, there would be nothing stopping you from plunking your beach towel on the shore of any fancy hotel you desire. The only international laws are for international waters --- International waters start 12 nautical miles (13.8 miles and 22.2 km) from the shore -- 1982 UN agreement. Beach and national water rights are up to the country. In the US it is up to the states for the most part. No idea who shot those photos but they do not look like paparazzi photos and they were not sold like paparazzi photos. And why wait to release them. (Perhaps it was a stupid paparazzi who didn't know how to sell them.) They could have been taken by a guest on vacation for all we know. All I know is that whoever had them waited until Adam was gone before releasing them. Looks like a deal with Adam to me.

Hello, I pretty much lurk here, I asked this a couple of days ago, so don't know if this was asked or answered yet, but I have a question for Q3, concerning the live DVD. I remember you saying that concert DVD's don't sell well, especially not in the US but will probably sell more overseas. I remember you saying something about any product sent to stores by RCA have to sell well to set Adam up for his next releases (ie not having a lot of returns), I was just wondering how much can we expect this CD to sell that will be profitable, I don't know what RCA's budget, and expectations are for this project, but don't know if anything within the 20k-100k range will be too high or too low, not knowing how much DVD's typically sell. Did this question get answered? Because I am curious as well.

That's what I thought, about private beaches, that it is regulated by the states. Internationally, I would think each country has their own laws.
