If the single is going to be released in about 8 weeks they could pick it or change it in 6 or 7 weeks. My bet is that it is the Benny Blanco track that there were so many tweets about. I think this is where the rumor of the Benny Blanco track started. Who knows if it is just somebody trolling on FYE or it really is true. I really have no idea, it could all be BS ------------------------------------- fyentertainment.livejournal.com/25421.html?page=26#commentsmark these dates on your calender... Oct. 4 or 11 *cough* benjie and a dog in miami then Nov. 1 or 8 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ fyentertainment.livejournal.com/25770.html?page=1#commentslol oic, the "Oct. 4 or 11 *cough* benjie and a dog in miami" is supposed to mean that the first single will be released on one of those two dates, was recorded in miami, produced by benny blanco and features pitbull and then the album will be released either Nov. 1 or 8 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I really don't know much about Pitbull so I have no opinion on Him. I'm having a hard time hearing Pitbull's voice on a song with Adam. Out of curiosity I wanted to ask Cassie what She thought of Adam & Pitbull's voice together, would it fit?The Bennie rumor started when they were tweeting constantly about it. I have seen the FYE rumor and I give it some credence because I had heard about it before the October date was announced by Adam. I didn't want to believe it, because I was still committed to a September single release in my heart. Now it looks like it's true. And the Bennie track I've thought would lead since their "smash" tweets. (Seemed to be a reason Adam was allowing for much tweeting to go on in the studio where he hadn't before.) So color me not surprised if the lead single features Pitbull. This vocal/rapper thing is HUGE right now on KIIS – seems like every song has it, so if it's an in to help his lead single smash, I can get with that.

Susie--Just wanna say ITA with everything you said abt when the album will be released. I mean we know nothing and shit happens, but I would be shocked if there isn't some sort of deadline he has to meet. It's not like he is someone like Madonna or the Stones or someone who has been around forever and can basically write their own ticket and be as finicky as they want....he is still a new artist and has to prove himself and #2 is very very important....I don't think he has the luxury of being able to fuck around until it's "perfect".
Dont get me wrong...From an artistic stand point I am glad he takes his work seriously and understands how important this album is and wants it to be perfect, but I'm sure he also knows from a business stand point that it is important to get it out in a timely manner esp when he has the opportunity to put it out on or around one of the biggest shopping days of the year.
He may have a lot of fans here but he is still up and coming in the big picture so he can't afford to be *too* perfectionist about things...
But whatever. I would be really surprised if they release it in the winter music wasteland of January or whatnot....that would mean that Adam has more power at RCA then we think or that all the upheaval over there kinda fucked shit up.
All in all I am not worried....whatever will be will be.

Calling for help from anyone, anyone. Bueller? I'm having a brunch on Sunday and I want to do a playlist for it. (One of my new favorite things to do since I came down with Chronic Adam Syndrome.) Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'd like songs that are familiar - nothing too obscure unless it's perfectly on topic. Here are the themes: - brunch
- morning
- heat - it's supposed to be in the 90's and we're on the patio
- it's 2 birthdays and one retirement
Haven't had time to really ponder yet but so far I've got: Banana Pancakes - Jack Johnson Wish I Was a Kellogg Cornflake(?) - Simon & Garfunkel Old Friends - Simon & Garfunkel (for retirement) Oh What A Beautiful Morning - Oklahoma Chelsea Morning - Joni Mitchell or Brazil 66 I've got to go start working on the house, food etc. Will be checking in from time to time. ALL HELP FROM YOU TALENTED PEOPLE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. Don't know when I'll get it done, I'm going to see Lewis Black tonight. Can't wait. I could use the laughs. ;D

If this is obsession, then so be it. I am enjoying this fandom so much. I love coming on every day and seeing a delicious new pic or reading an intriguing new rumor or getting a tiny peek into his love life. Adam found a cozy little corner of my heart and snuggled in there to stay. This "obsession" adds a new exciting spice to my already full of obligations life and I welcome it. I don't want to miss even a bit of this magnificent journey. ETA- I agree with those who don't find Adele all that special. I don't get the acclaim at all. It's the way I feel about Susan Boyle too. You can hear that voice in any church choir any Sunday. Tho I think with her it was her poignant back-story that struck the chord with so many people. With Adele, maybe part of it is that she is so different from today's gal singers. Don't know.

Out of curiosity I wanted to ask Cassie what She thought of Adam & Pitbull's voice together, would it fit? What a boring song! Oops, you didn't ask about the song, but the singer. Which is pitbull? I assumed it was the one in the blue shirt who was actually singing, not just rapping. But, then I went to YT to double check, and I think the singer was Ne-Yo? Pitbull has the lower of the voices. Fitting with Adam? Rapping in the song, perhaps? There wasn't enough singing in that number to tell, really. The truth is twofold. 1. Not gonna be another big pop/rap/rock singer who can match Adam's voice for clarity, range, dynamics, technique, purity. No one, male or female. So, they are gonna have to provide a contrast to Adam, rather than to blend with him. Hmmmm, Urban rap with that heavenly voice? Strange, but, I guess it could work. 2. On the other hand, Adam is accustomed to singing with others. Has been doing it since age ten. Heck, he sounded good singing with Kathy Griffin, didn't he? So, he can make it work. (Personally, I shudder at the thought of Adam with a rapper, but, that's just me.)

Arg. All outdoor furniture indoors. Playset & playhouse disassembled (with much cussing). Canoe in garage. Woodpile sorta covered up. NOW it looks like we won't get hit as hard as intially anticipated (3" rain, not 10", winds probably <50mph). So we may have done a lot of work that we didn't need to. :-( However, the regular rain DID already start until holding off until tonight, so the planned-for-weeks block party that was supposed to start in a half hour has been canceled. And I have a hysterical 4-year old in her room wailing about the lack of cookies and a promised moon bounce. Trying to explain that a moon bounce was frankly the least of anyone's concerns right now didn't make a dent, and I'm muddy and cold and too snippy at this point to deal. Bad mom. That said, I should ask the neighbor who brought the bounce if they need help with us chipping in for the now defunct rental and whether they want some potluck. My husband is running to the drug store to pick up precriptions. Maybe I'll ask him to pick up some pre-made cookie dough....I'm too tired to make anything from scratch (and frankly I don't feel like figuring out if we have ingredients). [grin] Adam's album will come out when it comes. :D Hang in there! Irene can't leave our area soon enough, and the worst is scheduled to be around 8 pm. One tree limb down in the backyard already. Too heavy to move it so I hope it stays put. I did my pre-made toll house cookies yesterday, and they have been a good snack today.

I use to be terribly addicted to Adam, (not going to say just how bad, but it was really really bad, on the American Idol forums we use to call it, OILWALD for obsessively in love with Adam Lambert disorder) from Idol all the way up to 2010, and now I guess I can call it obsession, and all of this waiting for new music has taught me some patience, and even going back listening and finding old gems of his.
So I can wait for the single, when I saw the 8 weeks date I just sighed, and said what's 4 weeks more? so oh well
