I really don't know much about Pitbull so I have no opinion on Him. I'm having a hard time hearing Pitbull's voice on a song with Adam. Out of curiosity I wanted to ask Cassie what She thought of Adam & Pitbull's voice together, would it fit?What a boring song! Oops, you didn't ask about the song, but the singer. Which is pitbull? I assumed it was the one in the blue shirt who was actually singing, not just rapping. But, then I went to YT to double check, and I think the singer was Ne-Yo? Pitbull has the lower of the voices. Fitting with Adam? Rapping in the song, perhaps? There wasn't enough singing in that number to tell, really. The truth is twofold. 1. Not gonna be another big pop/rap/rock singer who can match Adam's voice for clarity, range, dynamics, technique, purity. No one, male or female. So, they are gonna have to provide a contrast to Adam, rather than to blend with him. Hmmmm, Urban rap with that heavenly voice? Strange, but, I guess it could work. 2. On the other hand, Adam is accustomed to singing with others. Has been doing it since age ten. Heck, he sounded good singing with Kathy Griffin, didn't he? So, he can make it work. (Personally, I shudder at the thought of Adam with a rapper, but, that's just me.) not just you |

IDK for some reason I am thinking Jimmy Buffet. LOL. My Mom loves Jimmy Buffet and while I don't know the names of his songs they seem perfect for the retirement or heat angle...... If it's a buffet and you want to serve Margaritas at your brunch, there's Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville. ;D Yeah, Chunkey, good idea - that's pretty much the name of my house. ;D Really gotta go now. Back later. I'm doing Mimosa's, Harvey Wallbangers and coffee w/Baileys. Contemplating a Bloody Mary bar. I guess another theme is drinking. ;D |

Calling for help from anyone, anyone. Bueller? I'm having a brunch on Sunday and I want to do a playlist for it. (One of my new favorite things to do since I came down with Chronic Adam Syndrome.) Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'd like songs that are familiar - nothing too obscure unless it's perfectly on topic. Here are the themes: - brunch
- morning
- heat - it's supposed to be in the 90's and we're on the patio
- it's 2 birthdays and one retirement
Haven't had time to really ponder yet but so far I've got: Banana Pancakes - Jack Johnson Wish I Was a Kellogg Cornflake(?) - Simon & Garfunkel Old Friends - Simon & Garfunkel (for retirement) Oh What A Beautiful Morning - Oklahoma Chelsea Morning - Joni Mitchell or Brazil 66 I've got to go start working on the house, food etc. Will be checking in from time to time. If the single is going to be released in about 8 weeks they could pick it or change it in 6 or 7 weeks. My bet is that it is the Benny Blanco track that there were so many tweets about. I think this is where the rumor of the Benny Blanco track started. Who knows if it is just somebody trolling on FYE or it really is true. A week prior to Adam's Twitter Party, the dates coming from people involved in promotion of the single were 9/13 or 9/20. On 8/21/11 I first heard of an possible October date. I did not think it was real -- guess it might be. We'll find out when we find out. I think 10/11/11 is a great date for a new single!  |

I'm not obsessed either.  I just realized that with the "extension" of the single's wait & accompanying promo I will have to wait that much longer for a new, relevant avi. So I guess kitty is here to stay for awhile. Awwww, jazzrocks! I think you look really cute!!! |

If the Pitbull rumor is true (which idk) then shudder all you want but it could be a HUGE help to make his single a smash. Personally I am sick of Pitbull right now but that's because you can't turn on the radio without him being on every freakin track! LOL. He was on JLo's On The Floor, his hit song with Ne-yo, I think he has a song with Marc Anthony....he is hot right now and any collab with Adam would most definitely get him play on KIIS stations and expose him to a whole other audience.
I am not saying if it's a *good* idea---I dont know for some reason the pairing seems awkward to me on paper although it could be fine in execution, at the most it would probably be Pitbull rapping an intro or a bridge or popping in here and there to be all MISTER WORLDWIDE!!!! lol--but as a strategy to get airplay it seems to be pretty solid.
That said, I kinda hope no because I am at the point of Pitbull over saturation and I wanna love his new single and play it without wanting to punch someone when I hear it. Sorry Pit. LOL
