If I am bored because I don't have new Adam news or music, that is my fault, not Adam's. If Adam has become such a focus in my life that I have no other interests, hobbies, work, or loved ones to enrich my life, something is very out of balance. Time to get to work on developing my RL. In fact, this lull in Adam music has inspired me to focus on MY music. I'm singing more, playing the piano more, immersing myself into creating music myself, for my pleasure. I'd gotten rusty and forgotten the joy of making music, not for anyone else, but just as an expression of me. So, it's all good. IMHO.  Perfectly said! This is my first time to ever be so involved in a fandom. I was so exhilarated by GNT I wanted to keep the obsession/stoke going, and have. But if I had it to do all over again, I think I would have taken a few months off and be checking in again about now, fresh and rarin' to go! Next time I'll be smarter.  But you would have missed so much! There is Adam news, events, photos every week! I have absolutely no guilt about my obsession! ;D |

Arg.
All outdoor furniture indoors. Playset & playhouse disassembled (with much cussing). Canoe in garage. Woodpile sorta covered up.
NOW it looks like we won't get hit as hard as intially anticipated (3" rain, not 10", winds probably <50mph). So we may have done a lot of work that we didn't need to. :-(
However, the regular rain DID already start until holding off until tonight, so the planned-for-weeks block party that was supposed to start in a half hour has been canceled. And I have a hysterical 4-year old in her room wailing about the lack of cookies and a promised moon bounce. Trying to explain that a moon bounce was frankly the least of anyone's concerns right now didn't make a dent, and I'm muddy and cold and too snippy at this point to deal. Bad mom.
That said, I should ask the neighbor who brought the bounce if they need help with us chipping in for the now defunct rental and whether they want some potluck. My husband is running to the drug store to pick up precriptions. Maybe I'll ask him to pick up some pre-made cookie dough....I'm too tired to make anything from scratch (and frankly I don't feel like figuring out if we have ingredients).

Adam's album will come out when it comes. :D

I'm not obsessed either.  I just realized that with the "extension" of the single's wait & accompanying promo I will have to wait that much longer for a new, relevant avi. So I guess kitty is here to stay for awhile. |

If the single is going to be released in about 8 weeks they could pick it or change it in 6 or 7 weeks. My bet is that it is the Benny Blanco track that there were so many tweets about. I think this is where the rumor of the Benny Blanco track started. Who knows if it is just somebody trolling on FYE or it really is true. Have no idea where these are from.   Adam's old uncensored Myspace. Most of it disappeared in 2009. Your pic of Adam in the blue disco shirt kept me busy today. Well that and Lulu's twitpic link to Leo Moctezuma. Leo had a nice pic of the LA friends at a 2008 after the AMAs party. I've been stalling on putting the Australia post back together cause I was pretty bored with it, but apparently Leo was in Sydney with Adam. He was at the Marble Bar, too. Anyway, this kind of stuff gives me a new angle on those posts and some ideas about followup. |

Some think he's going, some don't. The Cherry's have a baby. Carmit is pregnant. There are still others he could go with but....
I wonder if it's possible he's having a BM style party. Remember a while back when some dude tweeted about Adam looking at their venue to possibly rent it? Then the guy ended up deleting his tweet. Was that May/June? Did we ever find out waht that was about? Wonder if Adam could be having a party there next weekend where everybody dresses up like they would at BM? I know. VERY far fetched imagination I have. ;D

And I'm a regular person who doesn't much like it at all. I keep trying since there is so much raving over it, but I just don't like her voice or delivery for most of this. I haven't downloaded a single track. Rolling in the Deep is OK, but who needs to download it when you can hear it every 5 minutes if you turn on the radio? I went back and listened to her older stuff and there were a couple songs I liked somewhat - but again, not enough to bother buying them. This is EXACTLY how I feel. I like RITD a lot - but I expect to be sick of it soon so no DL. Do not like SLY at all. Her voice in the higher register is weak & strained and grating for me. There are so many great girl singers from yesteryear that I've been listening to forever and Adele's voice is nowhere near as good. I think Pink and even Gaga have much better voices. This is pretty much how I felt about Adele. Kept hearing people raving about how good of a vocalist she was, so I went and listened to a few of her songs, namely RITD, Rumour has it, and turning tables. While some of them were catchy and she seemed to have a good enough voice, but I still didn't get the universal claim over her. Even when Adam said that SLY was his favorite song, I listened to the album version and it was nothing specia. I didn't fall for her voice till I heard her sing SLY live at the brit awards, where I just got goosebumbs, shivers and tears just from her voice, that finally understood what people meant about her voice. Interestingly enough she doesn't go into her higher range when singing SLY live, because of that high register when singing the chours is what turned me off that song. In retrospect I think Adele is a lot like Adam in this, in that I think that she sounds better live then recorded. I mean we all know that Adam has a spectacular voice, but if saying that and introducing Adam to people by way of FYE, you wouldn't know just how good his voice is. |
