I don't think we should ever compare things to Adele or this album. She is an anomoay! This album is an anomaly! I doubt that even Adele will ever achieve this success with an album again! Yes, that album hit the right spot for the market -- and is one of my favs of the year. Interestingly, it was not a universal critics favorite. The Metacritic score was only 76 -- which really surprised me. I'm glad I do not pay much attention to critics. My point was simply that 3rd week and 4th week of November are great release weeks but that is not essential for success. Although I would love to see Adam with Thanksgiving week release date, it doesn't mean an album will sell and there are other ways to be successful. I'm actually a "regular" person critic who does not love the album. (Susie wants to kill me right now, I am sure! ;D ) I only downloaded 4 singles and horrors of all horrors, "Someone Like You" was not one of them!

Have to agree, Susie. I think the album is done and accepted and just the final tweeking is being worked on, whatever that is. Adam may be recording certain vocals, but that's pretty common, I think. Need Kanadie's expertise here. Also, if Adam says the single in about 8 weeks, then they know the single. If they know the single then I say they know the album. He knows 12 tracks plus a deluxe version. We know he had a conference call, with RCA/Sony recently. Don't we also know he visited RCA while in NYC? Maybe I imgained that? LOL! "Release date is not set" to me is semantics. IMO, I don't think that means they don't have a release date. When RCA is within 2 weeks of the single, they will announce the dates. That's the way they've been doing it and unless new management changes their patterns, I see no reason why Adam's announcement will not be done the same way. Right. The fact that he said definitively, "Twelve tracks," means those 12 tracks are final. And he said weeks ago the single was between a couple of choices, so they knew then what was in contention to be a single. So they certainly know enough to set a release date, because the rest would be doing the final polishing (mastering?) and maybe re-recording a few things. How can that not be done enough to set a date? Adam has kept it very secret up until now and my concern with is lack of a final release date and title, etc. is that we're going to be getting Fall Preview stories coming fast and furious and if he isn't in position because of the sekricy , they will miss out on this key coverage. I am pretty sure that they will not miss the Holiday preview stores if they plan a pre-holiday release. And ITA -- Adam's tweets about the track count made it seem like album tracks were all selected. Consistent with his previous comments. Labels/artists usually do not announce their release dates until they need to so that they can maintain a competitive advantage. No major label releases for 3rd or 4th week of November are announced yet. In the meantime the artist, management and label work on promotional planning with a working release date which is usually not publicly announced. ******* When did Adam say they were choosing between two singles? Was it a while ago? ETA: I sure hope that "21" is not the album of the decade -- we have over 9 years to go. I like it but not even my #1 album of 2011.

LOL, not really, I like the album very much, but I find I rarely listen to it. I REALLY have to be in the mood for it and when I am, I am wowed by the beauty of her voice, the lyrical structure of many of the songs and the production, but I don't have a deep emotional connection to it or anything. Soaked, however ...

I would have to read the credits to know it was Kelly Clarkson.

I want to say it was around Montreal press time.

Hmmmmm..... from twitter carolb57 Carol Baligush @adamlambert A Dallas fan said you should call Album #2 "Exposed" with YOU on cover in a bathtub in a wheat field wearing only your boots! 28 minutes ago I knew there was a reason why I liked Dallas and Twitter

And I'm a regular person who doesn't much like it at all. I keep trying since there is so much raving over it, but I just don't like her voice or delivery for most of this. I haven't downloaded a single track. Rolling in the Deep is OK, but who needs to download it when you can hear it every 5 minutes if you turn on the radio? I went back and listened to her older stuff and there were a couple songs I liked somewhat - but again, not enough to bother buying them.

Thanks SusieFierce. I'll check the Montreal press and interviews. I missed some of that -- so really likely.
If the single is going to be released in about 8 weeks they could pick it or change it in 6 or 7 weeks. My bet is that it is the Benny Blanco track that there were so many tweets about.

milestougeaux Miles Tougeaux @adamlambert ooh I like the 'obligations are stormdrains' image. You should try your hand at writing lyrics or something4 minutes ago in reply to ↑ adamlambert Adam Lambert @milestougeaux I've been thinking about it. Lol. You inspired this whole writing thing ya know... 4 minutes ago @lulu2365 If @milestougeaux inspires @adamlambert's writing. How do you guys explain @negativeneil's political & sarcastic writing style?
@negativeneil @lulu2365 @milestougeaux @adamlambert the family dog.[/color] Oh f*ck Neil replied!!!!!!!!!!!
I sent Him a tweet as a joke yesterday in response to Eber and Adam joking about Adam getting His writting talents from Eber.
I get so nervous about tweeting directly to Adam & company I went back and deleted it but the tweet is still showing in Neils timeline.
