I love Adele's album, every single song. The production was right on. It totally featured her voice and the music never overpowered the voice. She is all I play in my car. Except when I put in the Glamnation album which I also love. When I hear that applause in the background and the screams, it brings it all back for me and my heart even beats faster. I love Adam's tour video and album most of all. Well, maybe the acoustic is my favorite. Then again maybe For Your Entertainment is my favorite.
When do they usually start filming videos? How long after an album is released? Anybody remember.

And I'm a regular person who doesn't much like it at all. I keep trying since there is so much raving over it, but I just don't like her voice or delivery for most of this. I haven't downloaded a single track. Rolling in the Deep is OK, but who needs to download it when you can hear it every 5 minutes if you turn on the radio? I went back and listened to her older stuff and there were a couple songs I liked somewhat - but again, not enough to bother buying them. This is EXACTLY how I feel. I like RITD a lot - but I expect to be sick of it soon so no DL. Do not like SLY at all. Her voice in the higher register is weak & strained and grating for me. There are so many great girl singers from yesteryear that I've been listening to forever and Adele's voice is nowhere near as good. I think Pink and even Gaga have much better voices.

I am not angsting about the release dates or plans for either the single or the album. Yes, I wish I had new Adam music NOW! But, I have wished that for the past eight months, and made it thru. Juniemoon's essay about Elvis compromising his artistry to grind out three crap movies and albums a year to satisfy the fans put things in perspective for me. I do NOT want Adam doing Beach Party Bingo type movies and music.
Everything we have heard about the work Adam has been doing has been glowingly positive. No indication that we don't have a release date yet because Adam doesn't have a good product. And, if Outlaws of Love is indicative of what Adam is creating, the album is gonna be awesome.
Black Friday, Green Thursday, Blue Monday, Purple-polka-dotted Saturday..... I know nothing about how that works. Heck, I couldn't even sell Girl Scout cookies as a child. I have absolutely no expertise in marketing --- music or anything else. But, RCA and Adam's management company do. They have all kinds of experts, experience, data, information and connections that they employ. I'd much prefer to trust them than to go with the dictates of fans regarding how, when, and where to release new music from Adam.
Adam is a smart businessman. I like that he is a perfectionist. I like that he is at a point in his career that he is being treated with respect and allowed to create his art without pressure and deadlines from the other businessmen and women. It's another indication of their confidence in Adam. But, perfectionist or not, Adam certainly knows the importance of release dates and marketing. Yes, the DVD and the Acoustic CD were delayed until Adam was satisfied with the results. That is a different scenario, IMO. Those were largely marketed to fans, and were not meant to be the next major offering. The release dates were not crucial. THIS release date is important. Adam wants to be hugely successful. Wants the public to devour his next release. Recognizes the importance of timelines to optimize his next release. I trust he will work until the last possible minute, but not beyond.
If I am bored because I don't have new Adam news or music, that is my fault, not Adam's. If Adam has become such a focus in my life that I have no other interests, hobbies, work, or loved ones to enrich my life, something is very out of balance. Time to get to work on developing my RL. In fact, this lull in Adam music has inspired me to focus on MY music. I'm singing more, playing the piano more, immersing myself into creating music myself, for my pleasure. I'd gotten rusty and forgotten the joy of making music, not for anyone else, but just as an expression of me. So, it's all good.
IMHO.

The new music will come. It will be great. No amount of fretting is gonna change when it comes out.

Thanks SusieFierce. I'll check the Montreal press and interviews. I missed some of that -- so really likely. If the single is going to be released in about 8 weeks they could pick it or change it in 6 or 7 weeks. My bet is that it is the Benny Blanco track that there were so many tweets about. I totally think it was the Benny track too.

It seems most of us have come to terms with the "8-week single". I have. I guess. But for those angsty moments that may arise during the long wait, maybe we should post this every day!
adamlambert Ladies and Gentlemen: the new album is sounding amaaaazing! I promise it's worth the wait!![/b][/size]
