Tomorrow it will be my first day at work after 3 weeks and I don't want to go to work, I don't want to go to sleep now, but if I don't sleep early I won't be able to wake up tomorrow, but I want to stay here, but it's 0.45 a.m., and...and...and... Nite Gelly!

Speaking of Susan Boyle, my son and I saw on of these billboards heading back to college. We just looked at each other and muttered WTF about the same time. Emmuzka - I was thinking exactly the same thing about rot vs. burn in hell. I can really see Adam trying to keep it more nondenominational. Susiefierce, I support this comment, "From the casual observer, it's like, "Why are you watching that trainwreck?" But then after you've watched with a group once or twice and find yourself laughing your ass off, you think, "Okay, maybe that's why ...". When I was in college there were TV rooms in the basement of the student center and a bunch of us started meeting to watch a soap opera. I have not watched one since but we had a blast just laughing and eye rolling together. It was a great way to relieve stress.

Has anyone heard anything about the date of Adam's Project Runway episode? I wondered if maybe it was posted and I missed it? I was curious and tried to figure out when his episode might be airing and came up with either September 22 or September 29. Episode 3 was filmed on June 24 in Battery Park and aired on August 11. I read an interview from last year with Nina Garcia, who said that the show shoots every two days. So, if that schedule still holds true for this season--and assuming they film two shows a week, not three--then they might have been filming Episode 9 on July 14 - 15, when Adam was in New York. Episode 9 is scheduled to air on September 22 and is apparently titled "Image Is Everything." Before, I thought maybe they'd play a bit of Adam's new music in the background during the episode. I wonder if there's still the slightest chance for a snippet? I love the new song title. Very evocative. I already have a melody running through my head--though I'm sure it's all wrong! Hi misha! I don't have any answers, but I can't WAIT for this episode! I'm not optimistic about an extended appearance for Adam, however. I'm assuming, since he only filmed one day, that he will be a guest judge for the runway show. The previous judges this season have been almost invisible - shown only a couple of times. I'm hoping that Adam has so many amazing things to say, with crazy charisma, that they'll show an extended look. That's funny you said the judges are hardly shown, this season, because I was going to say that the guest judges have had more input this season than ever before. I thought Kim was never going to shut up! I watch the show religiously, so as soon as they do the preview for Adam, if it is not already posted, don't worry..... I will let you all know. I think the 2 guesses about "Image is everything" or the Glam Rock for the 70s are very good guesses. I would love to see it be the Glam Rock one, with pics shown of Adam, Bowie, etc!

Yeah, Susie, you got it. Major is Brit slang oft used by V.B. It's kinda the Brit version of "epic" (sorry, Adam ). Song-wise, both "major" and "epic" work for me! As far as "rot" vs "burn" I agree with all you guys have said, and "burn" is quite the cliche--enough of one that, as NoAngel said, the mind just glides a little too comfortably over it. Though "rot in hell" is also a bit of an old chesnut, IMO (garnering over a million google-hits to "burn"'s just under 4 million), it has enough disgusting punch that the mind can't help but stick on it. My only problem, and this is probably totally obvious but I'll say it any way, is that it doesn't follow through on the "branded" image like "burn" would have. (Random fact: "Brand" means "fire" in German.) But burn is really no good, and I can't think of a better alternative. I thought of "roast" maybe, which has the same rousing "R"-sound as "rot," but it's almost comical in it's effect--Thanksgiving-y, really. "Flame" is more elegant, and has a clever third meaning given the social message of the song, but is probably too unidiomatic in the end, and doesn't quite conjure branding, anyway. Which is all just a convoluted way of saying yes, perhaps "rot" is the best option... Speaking of burning (though I'd never call Austin hell!)... LindaG23--yup, plenty of rain, and I can't say I'm sick of it yet after our parched year. Although I must admit that attempting (unsuccessfully) four times to convince the dog to take a pre-hurricane piss on the concrete in the wet wee hours of last night tried my patience for the weather (and my umbrella's structural integrity) somewhat. But today was lovely, blustery and autumnal with all the fallen leaves, and easy to enjoy given that the damage was so negligible compared to what was feared... That said, sorry to all atoppers who weren't so lucky. Good luck cleaning up!!
