@q3 Would you think Adam could be in the AI with a brand new single? 🤗 I think he'll be on. Maybe as some kind of coach or guest judge or something. I don't think we'll get new Adam music because Adam (who tends to be optimistic with timing) has said new music in 2018 and maybe summer. But we really do not know how close to done A4 is -- or even what direction Adam went in. Well except that there may be guitars involved. >> I am usually wrong on my guesses. And I am hoping I am wrong on this. But there are no clues beyond some vague references.

lllI guess I am a day late to the PhillyMack news, which sounds like most of you think it is a smart move. However, the cursory and incomplete mention of Queen needs to be more concrete. Just a couple of sentences could take care of that ever so easily, and right now, it is undeniable that as good as he is, there is no way he could be as well known world-wide nearly as much if not for Queen. But now I am going to discuss something that deeply upset me when I did getting around to yesterday’s discussion. When I saw Adam, looking at his phone and appearing to be listening to music at some place, no matter if they were only walking on that sidewalk or side of road or whatever with Pharoah being the one of the two who seemed to be totally alert, I was, and am, extremely disappointed and upset with Adam. He loves Pharoah, obviously, but he is missing an element of our pets and us. I know he won’t ever read this message or care that I am disappointed and rather irate, but i wish the message could be gotten out to him about the very real number of things that can happen. Looks like he was walking Pharaoh listening to music and looked down to change the song -- or perhaps avoid the photographer? I don't know it it will make you feel any better but I know exactly where Adam was walking and it is pretty much the equivalent to walking on a sidewalk. *** The bio on Philymack's page really does not matter that much -- it is a low traffic page. That Adam is there does matter.Regarding Queen, for Adam solo career it may not be that important. His target audience in the Americas and Asia have no idea who Queen is. They are too young. And my observation at many QAL concerts in the UK was that ever there, the Queen fans at the concert were mostly over 60. From the "Nielsen 2017 Year End Music Report" For the first time ever, R&B/Hip-Hop became the most dominant genre in the U.S., with nine of the Top 10 most-consumed songs coming from that genre, including breakthrough hits by new artists Migos, Post Malone and Cardi B.Rock in total, and classic rock more so, is mostly now just concerts -- even all the big festivals are being headlined by R&B/Hip-Hop, Pop and EDM/Electro artists. In other words, I would not expect there to be a lot of focus on QAL in Adam's solo promo -- a sentence or two here and there.

I think the Philymack move is a good one for Adam. He seems to be shaking things up. All the hints about expanding his brand to include something other than just pop (he always has but no one but fans ever hear it) with real instruments, more organic and with some Queen influence is a really smart and mature move. If he ever wants to get in the nomination game, he has to position himself out of the Camilla, Puth, Demi, Mendes, Gomez, 1D, and Ariana lane. DNCE is pop with rock elements. Band Perry, Cord and Iggy are not as pop as Demi/Nick (who still appeal to the teen audience) so Adam should be in good company with this new management. They don't seem to try to make all their artists have the same vibe. I want Adam to always be Adam but hopefully he will be competing with the Adele's, Sam's, Legends, and Sheeran's (mature/deeper but in an Adam more exciting way). They are not only depending on, or trying to appeal to the club audience and kids, but they are filling up those arenas and getting top 40 radio play just like the teen appealing acts. And my guess is with the moves Adam is making, it will not be business as usual and that is a good thing, imo. Change is good.

I have high hopes that this will be his best era so far. 💚

You said that perfectly, esp. the part of Adam not being lumped in with the Demi, Gomez, etc. crowd. He's a much better fit with Adele, SS, etc. And as much as I sometimes put down the "awards" thing, I know that they DO matter. If you have a few awards under your belt, you have credibility and a greater chance of broadening your opportunities. Adam is never in the "awards" mix, although he's as good as anyone out there. It's all about marketing and promo. Hope Phily has some creative ideas for Adam so that he's out there being noticed. His talents have to be tapped. I think it's a good move. Adam obviously thinks so.

Imagine Dragon gets top 40 play without trying to out kid the kids and have picked up some awards along the way. And Portugal the Man has been around the block for sometime and they just walked away with a Grammy after receiving #1 in rock and #1 top 40, even went top 30 rhythmic. You can get top 40 play without trying to be the next Camilla or Demi or Bieber just ask Lorde, Lana, Sam and Ed. But what they have in common is they are taken more seriously.

@lurleene I like your post. I watched the IHeartRadio awards recently and it seems like there is an even younger generation of pop artists out there. I wondered how Adam and his new music will fit into the current pop scene. But then I thought about Sia and how radio plays her songs constantly. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Adam produces some killer tracks and that his new management comes through!

cassie Watching the JCS advertisement last night, it struck me that they were wearing headset microphones. That got me to thinking that if Adam had got the part, I'm guessing he would have to restrain his singing a bit. I don't remember him wearing one of those microphones in RHPS, so how was that taped? I didn't get the feeling that he was dialing down that performance.
