cassie Watching the JCS advertisement last night, it struck me that they were wearing headset microphones. That got me to thinking that if Adam had got the part, I'm guessing he would have to restrain his singing a bit. I don't remember him wearing one of those microphones in RHPS, so how was that taped? I didn't get the feeling that he was dialing down that performance. As far as I know, almost all professional musical productions now use mics. And most mics are wearable. They are not always obvious. I have seen them incorporated into wigs.... sort of like a little bindi on the forehead below the hairline. I t is up to the sound men and women to make adjustments for range and loudness, as the singer cannot adjust the distance from the mic (like Adam does constantly). And, yes, the songs in RHPS were pre-recorded in the studeio, not sung live, or evcen sung live when the movie was filmed.

They don't need the headset for that -- I think that is to make it look "cool." Why does that mean they won't need a headset? They aren't planning on carrying mike stands around and I'd think they'd need the volume to reach to the full 1500 audience as well as providing a nice sounding feed for the tv.

Phil McIntyre is No. 90 on the Billboard Power 100: PHIL McINTYRE, 35, Founder/CEO, Philymack Last Year's Rank : 91 ACCOLADE OF THE YEAR: A Golden Globe best song nomination for longtime client Nick Jonas' "Home," from the Ferdinand soundtrack. BUILDING BANDWIDTH: "My focus is always ‘What do my artists' careers need next?' " says McIntyre. For another longtime client, Demi Lovato, that meant a big radio hit: "Sorry Not Sorry," her highest-peaking Hot 100 single ever (No. 6), which also topped the Mainstream Top 40 chart in November. For Joe Jonas, whose funk-pop band DNCE toured extensively in 2017, the next move was a forthcoming coach slot on The Voice Australia. For Nick Jonas, it was major-studio film crossovers: co-starring in Sony's Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle -- which grossed $675 million worldwide in its first four weeks -- and his musical work on the animated Ferdinand. McIntyre's challenges for 2018: determining what's next for new signees Iggy Azalea and The Band Perry.Link: www.billboard.com/articles/business/8096244/no-90-phil-mcintyre-power-100 Looks like they have lots on their plate with three new signees in one year.

To get awards, you have to put out music that matters. (Except for the fan awards like the AMAs.) And before that can happen, Adam needs to put out some new music and it needs to be popular or great or both. >> We have a wildcard out there because Adam does have a song and maybe more in the Playmobile movie. And movie songs have a shot at a whole different set of very high profile awards.

I am fine if Adam is "lumped in" with Demi. [After the last SS album -- blah, Adam + Sam Smith, not so much.] Demi and Nick Jonas are primarily Pop and Pop Rock actually close to where Adam has been and appears to be now. Demi is 25, Nick is also 25. Both now have adult fans so I am not sure about the "teen" categorization. Their fans were teens in 2008 but it's 10 years later. That 14 year old is now 24. I went to one of their concerts in 2016, some young fans but mostly 20 somethings, and mostly girls/young women. That was 2 years ago. Usually in music, fans get older, not younger. Look at Katy Perry's last tour, her "kitty kats" look sort of silly now. JMHO but 30 year old women should hang up the kitty kat ears until they turn 60. In any case, I hope they promote Adam like they did Nick Jonas on his relaunch -- a single sent to Pop radio (with Tove Lo) and a signal sent to Rhythmic radio the next day (with Ty Dolla $ign) -- not necessarily a Rhythmic tract for Adam, just meaning a multi-genre assault. Aggressive on multiple fronts. And this is what I don't get. Why is it okay for some to voice opinions and directions without being accused of trying to manage Adam's career or tell him what to do? Of course we all know he will do what he wants. All I have ever expressed was that I hope they don't limit Adam to pop cause I think he has more to offer and would fit on some other formats as well. The more the better. Now, I'm not a fan of Demi (voice is too shrill for my taste) or Nick's but I don't need to be (or care that Demi is his friend) in order to support and want the best for Adam. I really don't see Adam as a Nick or Demi but would love to see him get their level of promotion and exposure with whatever he puts out. Adam said more organic and authentic with his new work and I don't see either of them as that. But that could be just me, lol. Don't see him as an Adele, Ed or Sam either but they sure have a wide audience without only appealing to the teen set for the most part. Adam has long moved past getting a teen and tween audience like the younger pop stars. I think we have to be careful to not confuse "pop" music with "dance pop". I just looked up the definition of "pop music" the way it is defined today ... pretty much a big umbrella for music that is influenced by various styles and geared toward the broadest audiences. Both Adele and Drake fall into that category. www.thoughtco.com/what-is-pop-music-3246980

In musical theater they use very small and hidden microphones, that you can barely see. I would prefer these over headphones. But they probably want to emphasize, that they are singing live?

Adam has long moved past getting a huge teen and tween audience like the younger pop stars. ALL OPINIONS MATTER! We really never leave junior high school do we? Some folks get deemed cool and popular while others do not. It makes no sense and has no reason. Sort of like someone in the music business we all love...j/s. Keep talking and saying your truth, many of us are listening.

It sure seems everybody is jumping on the religious themed bandwagon lately. I like it too. Do I hear Reggae influences? I couldn't make out the song lyrics but I like the vibe a lot. Interesting how much goes into "selling" a song... nothing against Iggy but her voice/vocals didn't stand out at all. I know she is a rapper but still...
