Just read the news about New Zealand. I hope you and yours are all well. Living in Japan, I've had some personal experience with earthquakes and they are scary. There's no warning, so they come upon you all of a sudden. We had a small one yesterday and even that made me nervous. All the best to our NZ members! Hi four56. I remember you from PF/AT and that great avi. So glad you found us.

The pinky ring that costs a fortune. Yeah, he said it costs as much as a car, but that's pretty wide range, don't you think? A car can cost between $10,000 to $100,000, or even more. Regardless, happy for Adam to be able to do that now. :D

OT, but as we await Adam #2, here's an interesting review of Adele's new CD. I particularly liked these excerpts: www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ent/7439547.html"And instead of oversinging or riffing into the heavens, Adele often chooses to underplay or - gasp! – just sing."
"It's quite nice to not hear any of it strained through AutoTune."

Welcome four56 to Adamtopia! So wonderful to have you here. Hope you post and tell us about Adam in Japan or chat with us about anything else along the way. Glad you delurked.
And Kiwifever, to you of course as well, especially some warm thoughts on such a difficult day for your country. Please let us know if you can help. Given that you are on the south island: Are you getting people who are temporarily relocated from Christchurch? Kind of like Houston after New Orleans got hit here in US? I would think that a lot of houses must be unstable and that includes public buildings like schools, etc. who normally are used as shelters. What difficult times for this town. One question: Do you know Islasands and have you heard from her? I used to be in touch with her, but somehow we have lost contact and are somewhere in different parts of the Adam-Universe. But I am pretty sure she was on the South Island too, not sure where there though.
In other subjects. Read the article on queerty (useless, but trigger for discussion) and the comments (quite interesting and not useless at all). Shows how far all sides still have to go. Narrow-mindedness exists in all corners and we all tend to be able to see it in others and have a tougher time when it is in our own backyard. Wow. Lots of good points raised just to be then trashed in the next post by somebody else.
Finally: Love the Jake-Adam kiss, in fact, I personally love it so much more than most of the Adommy kisses. Jake reaches in for more and that is totally hot. Makes Adam look hot and wanted and his face at the end is just presh and playful. Very hot gif for this morning, thanks for posting it.

I have a theory that there are straight fans who love Adam in part because they love someone who is gay (a child, sibling, friend, whatever) and that part of what they see in Adam is the possibility for that person they love to be happy, proud, successful, sexual, strong, in love, and loved - everything everyone wants for those they love. I would love to post some thoughts on that thread we'eve been reading, but don't want to contribute to "dominating gay space." I wonder why it doesn't occur to some, though, that the women posting there might have a stake, whether they are gay or not. IMO adults don't need "role models." Adults concerned about their world/interests need political leaders and activists - some entertainers are into trying to be that, some aren't, some are sometimes. I don't see that as their job. But tweens and teens do need role models. Whether it's Chris Colfer, Jake Spears, or Adam Lambert (different stars appeal to different kids, right, just like adults?), the more young gay men (and women) who are out there and happy, and achieving, and seen as relatively "cool" by some, etc. is good IMO. As much as I love Gaga, et al (and I do), a suicidal young kid being called names or worse can't look at her and say, "Well, as a young gay man, she's certainly managing to celebrate and enjoy her life." Very good points Bridget, and they have been brought up by both gay commenters and mothers/sisters of gay folks in the comments sections of LGBT sites before. For folks who want to read more about the issues (and differing opinions) on commenting on gay sites, there is a discussion thread on it on AdamLambertFans too started by someone who is a regular on one of the sites: adamlambertfans.com/forum/all_about_adam/185781/page/1I have run into a few really cringe inducing examples of an outsider coming in to comment and completely unwittingly making homophobic or offensive statements in their defense of Adam on a gay site, but I also understand that learning about new things is a process, and people make mistakes along the way. I think spaces like this one (Atop) are a good place to think things through. midwifespal, I'd love to hear your thinky thoughts whenever you feel like you wanna dive in the deep end ETA: CraazyforAdam islasands is on twitter. twitter.com/#!/islasands she and her family are OK, but understandably shaken.

Thats a lot of money and even if Adam buys now more expensive ones than he did before i didnt see any ring of his cost more than perhaps 1000 $. I see that the way he talks about how much money they cost he's not ready to throw so much money for a ring, at least for now and he appreciates the value. I was looking through Loree Rodkin jewelry and i saw that ring. It looks very much like the one he wore on idol on IICHY. i absolutely loved that ring. ETA. I know he doesnt own the ring.Loree Rodkin gave them for advertising.

INteresting.. I just googled Adam and someone said to write in 'Fever' on pandora.com. Lots of Adam songs from his album. When I typed in Adam Lambert a week ago ,I hardly got any of his songs and mostly from the wretched producer ,where songs don't sound like Adam. Hmmm
