Someone just tweeted the link to a vid of Adam and Citizen Vein that I had not seen before!! I really like it too!!
It is amazing that, after all this time, there are still vids and pics [thanks rheimer] that I have never seen!!

Mia! Just found your new section in the Salon about Sauli! Thanks for posting it - Both Sauli and Katri are such fun - who would think we could enjoy watching them talk and laugh while never understanding a word? Clay Aiken has been doing old covers of standard hits,both recorded and on his last tour. He also had a PBS concert of old hits a while ago. I thought he was dreadful.. Nothing fresh or new.. I think Adam might prefer to sell Department store cosmetics again ,then go the same route as Aiken.JMHO  Have to admit- Clay Aiken is who I thought of when the suggestion of recording covers, or old standards, was brought up. PLEASE, no cover albums for a couple of decades from Adam!!! ITA with others here, SUBO is more about the back story than the singing or the music on the cd. Now, Adult Contemporary artists like Josh Groban and Michael Buble are more about the vocals and the music they are presenting. There is a market for this type of music, but Adam is not interested in the AC category in any way! Adam doesn't want to sing Josh Groban type songs, Broadway songs or Opera. He is making a Pop album with Pop music! Some of his songs will be HAC leaning and some will be played on AC stations, but he is not going to be an AC type artist. There is a vast difference between Adele's self-pinned R&B flavored music and the album full of cover songs that SUBO released. A few of Adam's songs on album #2 might lean towards Adele's songs, but we are not getting some cover album of old standards anytime soon. Thank God!!!!!  |

Although I'm not holding my breath that Adam will record an album of Celtic fusion... :-/ LOL NoAngel, I've got $5 that says you'll someday get your spoken-word album of pre-Raphaelite poetry!! ;D (And, if not, it's a good thing I can probably afford to lose $5. ) |
