I haven´t finished reading all the thread, but I wanted to delurk to share my 5 favorites. I am not going to include Adam´s songs because I would have to mention most all of them. I won´t mention Queen´s songs either, and some others which have already been mentioned (maybe I am repeating since I am not through with the thread. Well, here I go... Traffic - Empty PagesKing Crimson - EpitaphPink Floyd - The dark side of the moonPercy Sledge - When a man loves a womanJethro Tull - AqualungIt has been very difficult to trim the list to 5, because I love many songs like Nights in black satin, Bridge over Troubled Waters, Unchained Melody, Imagine, Stairway to Heaven, Black Dog, American Pie, Behind Blue Eyes (The Who), Every breath you take, Piece of my heart (Janis Joplin), and............... I better stop here. I am glad that Q3 said to mention only songs in English : I know that my age is showing with my choice of songs ;D but what can I do. I stopped listening to new music many years ago, until Adam made me listen to music again Before I go back to lurking, let me share this beautiful song... Janis Joplin - Little Girl Blue (she is introduced by Tom Jones)

Ever since Adam gave us this new lyric on twitter, "one day when I was trippin, that's when I could see, that the ether that I tapped into could be a reality", I can't stop hearing him in my head singing this song. STOP LAUGHING. I'm not laughing. Linda Ronstadt did a beautiful version of this and I'm betting Adam could too.

If you're looking for some entertainment, check out these 2 slide shows from the nbcnewyork.com page. Rock Stars: Then and Now plus Weird News PhotosScroll past the news story to the multimedia section, just above the comments section. Link: bit.ly/ruHpG5Hmmmm, I'm not planning to go to my ** high school reunion this month, feeling too old, gained weight, all the usual reasons. After looking at these pictures before and after, maybe I should reconsider.... not really, but it was a thought. Jon Bon Jovi and David Bowie are still looking pretty good. Poor Gene Simmons, karma is a bitch.

Whattislove! It's what I feel for you chunkey. I'm so glad you didn't restrain yourself to five songs. ;D Your extended playlist has me alternately loling and flashing back to middle school dances (which were pretty lulzy at the time too). ETA: OMG What is that 'What is love' music video? Seriously?

Here's my third song. I was going to pick Placebo's version of Depeche Mode's I Feel You, but the true test of a great song is what it sounds like live, and I can't find any live recording of Placebo doing that song. Instead I'm picking Placebo's My Sweet Prince, a song about drugs, not a lover. This is an old concert, back in the day when singer Brian Molko would often perform in dresses. He has lovely legs, though you can't see them all that well in this video. Lovely choice - I love Placebo. I know it's an obvious pick but I do think the cover of 'Running up that Hill' is nothing short of genius. "And if I only could make a deal with God..." Been listening to that a lot lately.
