A lot of indie artists do covers on youtube cause they are trying to be discovered or get record deals or they are only playing club gigs. They never get the chance to perform on national tv or international tv. Adam is with a major label and frontman for Queen. He travels all over the world with both careers, playing sold-out midsize venues up to arenas. In between, he is pursuing acting gigs, being interviewed, doing photo shoots and at least once being a judge in Australia. Sometimes you need to think priorities. Other times you need some down time just to relax to keep your sanity. Imo, Adam has done a good job of balancing both music careers and taking advantage of other opportunities when they come his way. He is aware of youtube so maybe posting covers is not something he views as a direction for himself, other than once in a while. I love his covers as well but would much rather see him work on putting out his own material and promoting his own work. Of course and continue being a fantastic frontman for Queen. Would love to see more acting opportunities for him too. JMO.

Sorry to post who, lol, but thanks for posting that Lara Fabian vid....every song she sings is a story. She's a lot like Adam, she never "just" sings. Her body, her voice, her inflections, her facial expressions....they're all part of the song. I love discovering new singers...I first discovered Lara because of a duet with Russell Watson on one of his cd's. All my favorite singers have voices that "hit" me the first time I've heard them sing, including Adam. I listen to very few singers that I had to get used to. Most singers I listen to on YouTube I turn off halfway through the song lol. And regarding Allison, I'm very happy that she's able to make a go of it with her band, Halo Circus. She also seems to be a hard worker. I wonder if any other people from Adam's season are still pursuing music....I know Ghokey and Kris are. Haven't heard anything about Matt and Michael and Lil....I think Megan put out an album? Michael Sarver isn't, he has a tile business back in Jasper, Texas. I only know this because he came to my Mom's house to look at redoing her bathrooms after flooding from hurricane Harvey last year! My Mom kept telling him "you look so familiar" and after asking him many questions he finally admitted he had been on American Idol and that might be why LOL!!! |
