Kathleenpf, there is a big group hug on the table right now! Wanna join in? Songs and group hugs are the BEST! I wasn't offended by your post, even tho I was one of the 'upsetties' from yesterday. I respect you. GROUP HUG!! What Viv said. Sorry, Kathleen, I wasn't picking on you I promise and, seriously, I live in the outer salt flats of fandom w/my skunk by popular consensus so just ignore me. I really am a sucker for hugs

I might say that my disappointment yesterday came, not from me feeling bad that I wouldn't hear new music from Adam sooner, but I hated that his new album would miss out on the huge black Fri. buying and all the holiday buying. I still feel sad about that. Me too. And if we totally take out first week's sales, it's probably about 100,000 in sales, over the 5 weeks between Thanksgiving and New Year. That may be a conservative estimate. ETA: FYE sold 235,000 from the second week of release to New Year's week.

Cookie: Mika: , oh, and dude, I PM'd you re: pennyroyal Gelly: I need your expert help. You posted a gif from the post-cherry-listening-party interview a few pages ago, but I wondered if you have another one--the one where Adam does the hand wiggles describing the general wombiness of things... Cookie posted on of my fave things ever last night--the Sauli wiggle gif--and I wanted to see the two side by side, perhaps even along with this: , you know, just cause I have no self control ...

What's up with the pennyroyal peace sign necklace that benefits the Trevor Project? Are fans trying to reach the goal, encouraging one another, or just not putting much energy into it? I noticed that pennyroyal currently says $28,170 has been raised and the goal is $75,000 (to reach the Adam-has-raised-$1Mil-for-charity mark), and there are only a few days left. As for me, I want to try to push this project along a bit because the Trevor Project deserves the support, Adam wants this necklace to provide them with significant funds, and pennyroyal won't release the key necklace, which so many fans want, until the peace sign necklace reaches its goal (or is it just until it reaches the end of its order period?). Anyway, I want to offer some encouragement for people to order a peace sign necklace, or, perhaps a second one to use as a gift! I am not a collector type, but I have wound up with a few pieces of Adamobilia that someone may be interested in owning. I am going to offer these things as "premiums" (like PBS or NPR) for necklace orders. I have 2 premiums to offer: Premium #1: The poster that came with the Acoustic Live album. This poster has never been removed from the shipping tube. Premium#2: The Rolling Stone magazine (June 25, 2009) with Adam on the cover with snake on his leg AND a group of things from the "pre-party" that was held at the Palomino before the 7/23/10 Glam Nation show at the Warfield in SF. The magazine cover has a small printing flaw, a spot on Adam's neck where the ink is smudged, as if the magazine was placed in a stack before the ink was completely dry. The items from the pre-party are a small poster (has been folded, and never had very good graphics), a post card of Adam blowing a kiss with lightstick with pre-party info photoshopped on his hand, 2 photo buttons (about 2 inch diameter, not the best graphic/production...) a small package of eye of horus temporary tattoos (apparently something made by the On the Meaning Of Adam Lambert people), and 4 lightsticks with "Glam nation SF Warfield 7/23/10" printed on them (2 used/popped, 2 never used). If someone is interested in purchasing a necklace and receiving one of these premiums, please PM me. Basically, you and I make an agreement, you then purchase from pennyroyal, I mail you the premium. Wish I had more premiums to offer. I really would like the Trevor Project to get the full $75,000 Adam and pennyroyal had in mind. peace&love Nonotme I've wanted to do more for this too, but haven't been able to figure out how. With Charity Water's posting board, one could do challenges and 'auctions' or raffles - and see people making their contributions as proof. I would be willing to match a small number of pendant purchases (not so much the silver/silver one lol - the price of the pendants is a bit daunting or I'd buy them for the kids I counsel but can't buy for some and not all :(). I've wracked my brain but couldn't think of a way to promote Pennyroyal Peace Pendant Trevor Project effort. If you come up w/some ideas, feel free to pm me. Or if someone thinks there's a time for an effective live journal effort. I'll help if I can. With Pennyroyal, much of the promotion has been on twitter, cheerleaded in a lot of ways by @_pennyroyal Tim himself. He has offered pretty awesome giveaways to random fans on his email list for each sales thresh-hold reached: us2.campaign-archive2.com/?u=f120dedb5114e4b10b21ebfd8&id=87723d33f7Fans have gotten retweets from celebs and there were some radio station/blog articles earlier. This thread on adamofficial has also been encouraging fans: www.adamofficial.com/us/node/2037842It seems doable to reach the 32k that was reached with the eye of horus for music cares within the time frame given the pace of daily sales, and with last minute purchases and a final push, more may be possible. One idea that occurs to me is to ask for gifting. Someone like Mika, for example, could ask for gifting for his counsellees. Or fans who really want a pendant but can't afford one could ask. Hooplamagnet has organized gifting of music products before. We have an Aftermath gifting thread here, so that might be possible here if mods say it's ok. For myself, I know I won't wear it and I don't have a friend or relative who I think might wear it either, so I've donated directly through the Trevor Bday drive www.stayclassy.org/west-hollywood/events/raise-13000-for-trevors-13th-birthday/e7067which by the way, is extended to the 19th now and giving out t-shirts to random donors (only 2,500$ to meet their goal!). But if I knew of a fan or someone who really wanted a pendant or earrings I could probably afford to gift one and would be happy to, some others might feel the same. One question for anyone who has bought the pendant, is there any receipt or anything that tells you the amt. that goes to charity (for tax purposes)? I know the percentage, I just wondered if there is a record.

Your conclusions or feelings about this delay aren't any more valid than mine or anyone else's on this board. We can discuss reasons why we are feeling a certain way or how we have arrived at our own conclusions. There are certain facts and opinions to look at and consider, but there isn't a "right way to feel". I'm not claiming that the feelings of personal disappointment wouldn't be valid, or to be the wrong way to feel. (or that my conclusions would be more valid that ours. ) What I meant with "it's all in your head" was that this anguish of a one person effects.. one person. Maybe a few others that live close to her. But no more than that; not Adam, not the fandom as a whole. The whole thing is literally in person's head. The fandom isn't going anywhere. So, it's actually a good thing.
