As much as I sympathize with the struggles Durbin has gone through, I still had to cringe as he shrieked his way through A Change is Gonna Come. It just bugs me that anyone who attempts to do a rock wail is compared to Adam no matter how badly they do it. It's like saying "My kid paints pictures of people, and Rembrandt painted pictures of people, so my kid is obviously the next Rembrandt." Durbin is not doing himself any favors by comparing himself to Adam and singing songs that Adam sang.

Murly, you really have a knack for coming up with appropriate metaphors, you little cookie monster! Reminds me of Art Appreciation in college--every other student looked at Mondrian and said "Hell, anybody with a ruler could do that!" Riiiiight.

Man, talk about Chatty Cathy--I had a snow day today and have just gone nuts. Must go to bed now to prepare for snow removal in the am--hopefully the last of the season. COME ON, SPRING!!!

OK I just listened to James' AcIGC and the three Adam versions. At least he inspired me to relisten to this....the glitter version!
Even the 2004 Adam ACIGC was much more mature. At least he didn't use Adam's lyrics.
