twitter.com/DailyMailCeleb/status/1078315589683331072Daily Mail Celebrity @dailymailceleb Cher is moved to TEARS when Adam Lambert sings her 1998 pop song Believe as a ballad at the Kennedy Center Honors dailym.ai/2EMyOkeCher broke down in tears during the Kennedy Center Honors, which aired on TV on Wednesday. The icon was moved when Adam Lambert sang a rendition of her tune Believe. The Mermaids actress appeared to be very pleased with how he turned her pop song into a ballad. The show was recorded earlier this month. The 1998 song was a massive hit on the radio and in nightclubs and is still well liked today. Believe includes the lyrics, 'Do you believe in life after love? I can feel something inside me say I really don't think you're strong enough.' The single incorporates the work of six different songwriters, two producers and a executive producer. twitter.com/shoshannastone/status/1078312019575611392

twitter.com/outmagazine/status/1078318525507342336Out Magazine @outmagazine #AdamLambert brought Cher to tears with an emotional rendition of her late '90s classic. ✨ out.com/entertainment/2018/12/27/adam-lambert-slayed-chers-believe-kennedy-center-honors?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=entertainment … It’s a truth universally acknowledged that the only person gayer than Adam Lambert is Cher — or maybe that the only person gayer than Cher is Adam Lambert. Either way, Adam Lambert covering Cher has enough gay energy to power a Tesla or charge a prostate massager. Wednesday’s Kennedy Center Honors dedicated part of the evening to Cher, with performances of some of her most iconic songs. The dramatic interpretation of the night was Lambert’s take on Cher’s late 90s classic “Believe” (You know, the song that invented autotune.) which the American Idol finalist turned into a stirring ballad. Also on hand to honor Cher was Cyndi Lauper, who bantered with the icon before launching into a rousing rendition of “If I Could Turn Back Time.”

Darci The Vocal Coach🎵🎭🖋️🎙🇺🇸 @dmvocalcoach God, this kid. He is impeccable. His control, his dynamics, his storytelling...he checks off every single box. And it turns out, this is quite a lovely song! Who knew? Adam Lambert definitely knows how to #SingLikeYouMeanIt! 🎼🎶🎤#KennedyCenterHonors youtu.be/BgJSid_2xG0I said something similar in my YT comment. Tho' with more detail. "A great example of why and how Adam is THE singer of a generation. Start with a voice that is gorgeous. Resonant, clear, floating, ethereal and powerful. Couple that with masterful vocal technique that allows for an impressive vocal range, a variety of tones and deliveries, variation in dynamics, and consistent support and control. Sprinkle in musical creativity to take a song and turn it on its head to sound brand new. Finally, complete it with an artistic, emotional interpretation that brings chills and tears for how it pulls at our souls. " So true. From Queen the night before to this. For me, it's always interesting what vocal tone he uses. On his high note in Believe (which wasn't terribly high for him), he had a fair amount of rasp. We intense fans know he can also do that with a ringing, clear tone, or almost a whisper. Stunning control.
