Well animated at least in this song Durbin is not off key. BUT its still screatching, not tender in the parts of the song where it'supposed to be tender. On the other hand even when Adam sings mmmmmmmm to Dust in the Wind my body shivers. I may be not very objective since Dust in the Wind was the first song i discovered after his audition and i had it on my head for months and months, i woke up and it was in my head, went to bed and was in my head , it never happened to me before and it has never happened to me until now. I cant explain it, i stopped long ago wondering why.

Good morning. It seems that many of us are watching AI this year. Q3 or mods, can we have an AI thread in the Members Only forum like at Atop1? I want one too! This year the talent seems to be much better than last year. Especially since Adam is not out and about, will give some of us stuff to talk about. Sorry, but I don't really get why some of yall are so down on Idol, if it weren't for Idol, we would never have found Adam. I am not saying there will be anyone new come in to steal Adam's spotlight in our hearts, no way there will ever be another star like Adam. But, AI is entertaining, and it is not the show's fault that Adam didn't win. Just sayin....... ETA: Also, Idol has consistently given Adam mention, promo, and the awesome gig mentoring last year. No matter how great Adam becomes as an international icon, he did get his start at Idol, and he and them will never forget that.

Aw, Adam. Watching the expressions on Adam's face when he sings Dust in the Wind is a great way to start the morning except that it makes me want to give myself the treat of a whole video concert before I leave for work. I literally could watch (and have watched, LOL) this man sing for hours. Yes, it's the voice, but it is so much more. I can't imagine aftermath as a dance song, but hurry and bring it on! Did I mention I need more Adam in my life?

Goodness... and THIS guy has the monumental gall to paragoning himself to Adam? I'm torn between horrified and... no, decidedly horrified. BRB, washing my ears with bleach.

This is a good one on Twitter:
purplegirll RT @markymarc70: James Durbin, I hate to break it to you. But the role of Adam Lambert has already been cast! #AmericanIdol

TMZ came out with a video of James Durbin with his band in an interview.. What an amazing contrast to the James he portrays on Idol.I wish I could find the video and post it. On this video James is a rocker and shows confidence, swagger and no signs of the poor boy image. He is one smart cookie,by imitating Adam he has garnered most of the attention on American Idol. IMO the less we react to Adam comparisons ,the more James will have to become himself. He just can't compare to Adam,in any way. I would just hate for him to make a name for himself on Adam's back, the more the fans get angry with him,the more attention he gets. I saw the video and he may have been putting on a persona with his bandmates, but he came off as a snide punk, which unfortunately so many of the kids like. One of the major factors in my loving Adam is his personality both the sweet part and the in-your-face part. I don't think James has a sweet part, nor do I see him being intelligent and articulate. We will find all of this out in the upcoming weeks. The (3 in all) years I did watch Idol, Bo Bice and Daughtry are the only 2 I ever took time to vote for. For every 1 time I voted for them, I voted 20 for Adam. During their years if I was home I watched but for Adam I taped every show and even stopped going to church Wednesday nights because our VCR finally died and we didn't have TIVO. I think I tuned in as much to see that smile and his graciousness as I did for his performance - don't say it, I'm back stroking to the shallow end.
