Video shows him telling two people at a bar about his love for Hitler and saying the woman he was talking to (whom he perceived to be Jewish) "should be dead" and that her parents and grandparents would have been "[expletive] gassed."
But he makes nice clothes, so let's move on. >:(
ETA: Adam can do whatever the f*ck he wants. Hope that goes without saying. My mileage varies on this scumbag.

jenepherre Jennifer Robertson @ @adamlambert So making gorgeous clothes makes it okay for him to be an asshole? I don't get it. 3 minutes ago Favorite Retweet Reply in reply to ↑
@adamlambert Adam Lambert @jenepherre not at all... But just cuz he's (was) an asshole, that means I can't wear his gorgeous clothes? #policalcorrectnessquestions

Being addicted doesn't cause a person to hate certain minority groups. It's just that being under the influence diminishes the person's ability to edit himself. Just because he went to rehab, doesn't mean he stopped hating Jews. He's just better equipped to control what he says out loud. It isn't even a matter for court. Each of us is free to make the decision whether they're comfortable buying from a racist. I have a friend who was raised by a father who was literally a card carrying member of the KKK. She has worked consistantly all of her adult life to get past the prejudices that were ingrained into her as a young child and yet with all her work she will still slip into patterns of thought that are racist. As soon as it is pointed out to her she works diligently to change that. Each time she thanks those who point out her misconceptions. Should I have written her off the first time she came out with some kind of racist comment? From all the reports I have read at this point it appears that Galliano is trying to do what is right. Gibson however has constantly tried to excuse his behavior and has had repeated offenses and never really owned up to his actions. Two totally different situations in my book. Off course everyone is free to make their own decisions but many times people find condemnation easier than forgiveness. Forgiveness does take work and it does not have anything to do with forgetting either. Because I am a forgiving person by nature, I see Galliano's struggles with his demons and racism as part of his life learning process. I am willing to give a person the benefit of the doubt if he/she is showing remorse and trying to delve into belief systems. I do not take slamming our fellow humans lightly. If my previous post gave that impression, I am sorry. The thread has been so, well, heated, today that I wanted to lend my support to Adam's call for forgiveness without entering into another bonfire. Adam's tweet may get some strong responses. Perhaps (only an opinion) Adam is trying in his own way to help a man salvage what might be left of his career because Adam feels Galliano is gifted. I cannot imagine Adam supporting Galliano only because he likes clothes. /edit I do understand how this can hit a very powerful nerve for some and I respect that.

Posting & running. Not enough time to think this through, but my gut reaction is to disagree with Adam on this one. Unless Galliano has done an about-face and made amends for his horrific statements...and I don't think he has. I rarely criticize or disagree with Adam but I feel a little bit of shallowness is surfacing here. He wants to wear Galliano suits.
Maybe I'll revise my opinion a bit when I think it through but I don't think so. I feel the same way about Mel Gibson and Vicks. People rarely change their core beliefs that drastically.

adamlambert Adam Lambert Galliano: BRILLIANT designer screwed up and said offensive things. When can we forgive him and move on? LOVE his clothes. And I'm a born Jew! 1 minute ago Well said Adam. I believe that forgiveness is an essential part of man's humanity to man. Who among us is perfect? How could we co-exist in this mad world without this thing called forgiveness. *looks around*....*steps off soapbox* eek...
