Okay, I folded. Purchased one....I'm so easy....... It's for such a great cause! Good for you, I haven't heard anybody who is disappointed at the pendant received. The pendant is really nice. I don't think you will be disappointed. I didn't think I'd be wearing mine but I love it and do wear it. And it is going to a really important cause.

I just got back on line, I didn't see this posted. (apologies if I missed it) RCARecords RCA Records by adamlambertHelp @adamlambert reach $1,000,000 for charity! Order Adam's Peace Pendant today! www.pennyroyalstudio.com11 hours ago Okay, I folded. Purchased one....I'm so easy....... It's for such a great cause! You won't regret it. It's really pretty; I love mine and wear it often. I feel like I'm wearing a secret symbol and that I'm a member of a very cool club :D I'm intrigued by Adam's tweet asking us to vote. IDK why this particular one is especially important to him, but I've got a tab open and will vote as often as I can cuz I'm obedient like that (Although I sort of wonder if this is Adam's version of busywork given by a teacher to rowdy and restless students... )

We have to get back in shape. I, myself, have pulled a muscle or two in the last week with my flailing.

However, speaking from experience, busywork tends to make the kids even more rowdy. Notice how people are already asking "why?" and "what's in it for us?" (joking of course). On the other hand, we fanatics tend to respect or revere Adam more than many students do their teachers. So we are more likely to be passive. calm down, and do our busywork. :

Wow, what an intense thread. Everything seems to have leveled out now. I had so many responses to so many different things, and I felt like I actively had to resist the urge to spam. (My restraint is likely to break down as the evening progresses...) So many different posts resonated with me and related to so many things in my life, I felt pretty overwhelmed reading through it. And so many beautiful posts! Rihannsu, Geezlouise, CraazyforAdam, and others. And running like a secondary thread through many of the pages was the excellent comic relief provided by Chunky Monkey and Seoulmate! Kudos and LOL to both of you!
After I read through the thread, I was thinking about all of the things that have happened in the last day or so, thinking about Adam's twitter 'therapy session' last night, the Galiano tweet, the SWA incident, the suicide of the young teen -- and I suddenly thought of Adam's description of his album as "like a shaman on a trip to the moon." And suddenly that sounded very appropriate -- and I wondered if part of what we have seen is Adam trying on that persona -- maybe not even consciously, but maybe just being tuned in to those things in the universe that need healing. (And perhaps trying on looks for the 'trip to the moon' in the club photo, lol). I'm big on free association and not necessarily logical thinking, can you tell? I loved the post by NoAngel that was copied by Q3 in the headlines today, and I wrote a rambling response to it that kind of got lost at the end of last night's thread. But I think my thoughts tonight are kind of building on that. I don't want to sound too crazy. But as NoAngel said last night, and as I really believe, I don't think we have seen the limits of what Adam can do, and in what capacity. And I think he really might be investigating the idea of healing (both for himself and for his fans, and beyond) through his art.
And just because I do love random coincidences and associations, I want to add something else. Before I posted this, I just wanted to check my idea of the word 'shaman', so I googled it and ended up on the 'wisegeek' website. Below the short article about shamans were some comments, and the first one was by a woman who had named her child Shaman because of a book she read and loved in which the narrator of the book had a shaman lover. The name of the book was "Broken Open".
*cue twilight zone music* lol
ETA: I'm almost always late with my comments, ugh! So frustrating that I can't respond at the right time to the things that resonate with me! But...that would require spending all day here, wouldn't it? And yeah, I can't... :(

I just got my pendant too, and the pictures don't do it justice. For anyone who didn't get the Eye of Horus pendant, Pennyroyal has a non-Adam one that looks really nice. It's a raised design instead of incised and it doesn't have the Ankh at the center of the eye, but still pretty cool. www.pennyroyalstudio.com/shop/eye-of-horus/eye-of-horus-pendant/tried to embed the picture but couldn't make it happen.
