Haha, that was quick, thanks!  Still bugs me though, how did this vid violate anything. How did this violate anything? You mean besides Tommy? Ha ha just kidding. I am most definitely not an Adam/Tommy shipper and those who are still in that mode are a little more than delusional, but watching these videos you can certainly see how the whole thing got started. I don't follow Tommy except on Twitter, where he is very quiet for the most part, but it amazes me how cute he is. By the way, did anyone else notice that Sauli seemed so much more reserved, in a good way, or maybe I should say grown up, in this Tutka? Even when they are laughing and being silly, he seems more like a 26 year old man rather than a boy. I think his new life is agreeing with him. |

I don't get the hate for Heidi's interview here? IDK, I thought they came across as comfortable and playful with each other and I thought Heidi was sweet and friendly and asking casual questions. I certainly didn't read any ill intent in her attitude or questioning and I am wondering if some people are projecting here? Not everyone is out to get/insult/hurt Adam...ikd idk. I'll leave it at that and leave you to your own opinions on the matter. I agree and would add that they reminded me of a borther and sister talking to each other. The end when they grab each other's hands and almost look like the are going to arm wrestle! LOL! I think that interview is adorable! Thanks mys*&@^#r for helping me find the words! I'd been struggling to figure out how to describe the vibe I was getting from this interview and this is it exactly! That bit in the beginning about the makeup sounded like the kind of lightly teasing (not in a mean way) banter that siblings might engage in. Overall, it was fun and lighthearted and I thought she was very complimentary. |

I read the thread very quickly just before falling asleep after a long night of amazing French food and wine and didn't see where anyone inferred your were a "slut," (did I miss that? ???) I understood your concern and thought you expressed it very well. Your original question asking if it was cultural/generational came through very clearly. I think you're right, this is a case where everyone interprets words differently, because maybe I missed it, but though people may have disagreed with the need to worry, I don't remember hostility. It was brave of you to share your gut reaction.  |

Bringing this over from yesterday's thread to respond...Irish, I saw the pics Adam took are totally fine. Since me and Adam are from the same age group--we are only a few months apart in age really--I can say that this kind of picture posing is totally normal. I can't speak for the gay community, but it's def not uncommon to go out to ANY BAR and take pics and look all wild and crazy. IMO there is nothing wrong or scandalous or disrespectful to Sauli about it. They are just hamming and glamming it up for the camera and trying to look fierce. It's not like they are making out or anything, It's just a pic, and if their crotches seem to be touching--lol--then oh well. My boobs have inadvertently touched other ppl while taking pics, and that don't mean shit haha. . Thanks Chunkey. I trust your observations and input. I only have what I discovered during my life as a frame of reference. In my day (hundreds of years ago) if my lover/husband/date took a picture with his penis in some girl's crotch I would have felt like a fool. It has nothing to do with jealousy. It has to do with what is good for the goose is good for the gander. I don't think my lover/husband/date would have liked it if I snuggled up to someone and put my crotch on his penis and took a picture. It was just common courtesy in my day that when you were in a monogomous (sp.) relationship certain boundaries were honored. I also stated that I was now a very unhip old lady, and I know times have changed so I wanted to get input from someone younger. I was looking through the eyes of an old lady. Chunky, you are younger and I think your observations for the most part have been right on and I value your input. It is not as big a deal as some have made it. I was mostly wondering how Sauli felt. It must be hard to be the King's boyfriend in a strange country. I don't want him to feel bad, and I felt bad for him. That was all it was. I know Adam is on stage 90% of the time because he has to be. He has no privacy. Lol I don't think you're a slut. Don't even understand the comment. You can't help feeling what you feel and you are free to express yourself here. My thought is maybe you're projecting too much. Sauli is a gay man who's been to clubs, too. Didn't he meet Adam at a club? Seems to me that Sauli probably loves Adam just the way he is. If he doesn't, the relationship isn't very solid. |

What would be the problem with crotch touching if it did not bring to mind the possibility of sex or infidelity? I don't see how you can separate being uncomfortable at the idea of crotches touching from the idea of sex or infidelity? If there is no underlying fear then what would be the difference between touching shoulders or touching crotches? Something has to exist to make the crotch touching "inappropriate". Feeling like a fool over your husband with his crotch up against some other girl may not be jealousy but it is rooted in the idea that people would get an implication of sex. It may not be specifically about jealousy but it IS about relating that contact to SEX. What I am saying is that society has done us all a disservice in making physical contact so suspicious that it fuels all these other negative emotions. We as humans NEED physical intimacy and by sexualizing all physical intimacy we have restricted the acceptable sources of that intimacy to only our sexual partners. People talk about how obsessed with sex our society is but it is a result of all these restrictions. The more sexually repressed a society is the more obsessed with sex it becomes. BARNA research group does a lot of research in Christian communities and I believe I remember seeing a report from them that the more sexually and physically restrictive the community the higher the incidence or porn and sex addiction. We become obsessed with the forbidden or the taboo. As an interesting side note I have often wondered if the true lesson in the Adam and Eve story was not that Adam and Eve fornicating was wrong but that the covering of their bodies in shame was the true problem. |

I think the person (obvious troll) whose comment was brought over here was trying to say that Adam would be a lot more appealing to "fence sitters" (ie people who are uncomfortable with gays) if he would only stop insisting on acting and looking gay ( being one of those "freaky ones").
