Just posting and running, but I hope that no one feels like they have to research something before posting here. Things move lightning-fast in the fandom, and I think we all have a healthy sense of perspective and withhold full-fledged squeeeing until things look relatively certain. Why should the Twitter ninjas be the only ones who work things out? We have fantastic ninjas here also, who can recognize pics, or identify potential collaborators, etc. Lots of people here are not on Twitter, so they shouldn't be left out of the fun and speculation. Still, a good rule of thumb-- if something looks questionable at all, just post it with a comment like "Not sure if this is true," or "Needs verification," and the ninjas can take it from there. I've RT'd and posted stuff that turned out to be false, and it did make me feel silly for a sec, but honestly, it's no big deal. The only person who should feel bad about the shopping tweets yesterday is the person who trolled. And for her, well, karma... I agree. I love reading the tweets and I so appreciate those who bring them over. Please don't stop. So what if there are 3 or 4 in a row. My thought is, just use a grain of salt when reading them and then have fun with them. We will learn soon enough if they are true or the work of trolls. 8-) I have to agree. I probably missed something since I was only on sporadically yesterday but I don't get what the big deal is. (* ducks*) It was a little diversion and soon was figured out and everyone shook their fist at the darn troll and moved on. I go to twitter and look at Adam's page and lurk around a bit but I'm not on there often enough to know what's being said. I really appreciate those who bring stuff over here!

Hey trolling sucks, but at least yesterday's was 'fun' and not mean.
Shit it whiled away a slow Sunday afternoon. And really it's not like they don't shop & kiss regularly!!! Look at the height difference...that forehead is in the perfect position!!
Most twitter rumors should come automatically stamped as suspicious.

Look at the height difference...that forehead is in the perfect position!! Most twitter rumors should come automatically stamped as suspicious. Any rumor should always be stamped as "proceed with caution," but Twitter is just the delivery method. If someone wanted to troll, they could do it just as easily on a board. The stories would get picked up just as quickly and copied and pasted all over the place. It was a practical joke and a harmless one about shopping, for crying out loud. It's not like anyone was hurt by this or deeply invested in the fact that Adam may have bought a new leather jacket or Sauli bought a pair of pants. So someone played a prank and we were fooled for an hour or so? Okay, you got us – ha ha! I really don't get the hoopla to be honest. We are grownups here people. Like you don't know not to believe every word you hear, especially in a fandom such as this? Gossip and rumors have been around since people were communicating with cave paintings and they knew to always check the news out themselves. If we start preventing any clues or unsubstantiated news from being posted here, we will be instantly in the dark ages.

Hi Finkfan....welcome... But...could you vote 200 times today...and are in North American time zones....just wondering if they are tinkering 'today' in NA time? Thanks I don't know ... I do them all at once. Sounds like the O awards site is being glitchy for some people.

As someone who doesn't follow hundreds of peeps on twitter, I love reading on here about whatever the latest brouhaha is going on out there in the Adam twitter world. Even if it's instigated by trolls or involves a lot of discord and/or gnashing of teeth, I appreciate hearing about all the drama, good or bad. It's a welcome reminder to me of what a large, vibrant community the Adam fans are. And I'm in awe of and grateful to the ninjas and other knowledgeable people who ferret out the trolls and explain to the rest of us what the heck it all means.

But is it enough if Gelly and Zinnia feel bad now. Perhaps they’d need apologies too. Did you notice the almost total absence of Gelly today or is it just a coincidence ?) . And Zinnia was glad, when she got a flower gif to comfort her. There are several posts which could have hurt them. I think this could be one of them (I don’t know how to bring old posts here, so I quote): Rihannsu wrote yesterday: “ Re: 10.2.11 Adam News & Info « Reply #231 Yesterday at 8:09pm » ________________________________________ What the cray's are doing now is having fun poking the ant hill. They know there are certain glamberts that jump on any tweet mention of Adam so they start shit just to entertain themselves watching those that they consider crays. The more attention we give them the longer they will keep it up. If the stalker crays would confirm stuff before spreading it throughout the fandom it would cut down on this tremendously but what happens is as soon as anything turns up people start spreading it all over before checking to make sure it is real. So what we really have is the Adommy crays versus the stalker crays. Just to be clear when I say stalker crays I'm not talking about those who rightly question sources but those who immediately believe everything they read and spread it all over and intrusively interrogate unsuspecting people who have mentioned Adam. The whole business has become a huge circle jerk. That's why I so appreciate those of us who patiently try to get to the bottom of all the rumors and confirm them before going off half cocked about them. (oops, there we go with cocks again. ) ” Read more:http://atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=daily&action=display&thread=507&page=16#ixzz1Zk4mrc9X And the moderator’s reaction to it: ” Yesterday at 8:09pm,rihannsuwrote: (oops, there we go with cocks again. ) “ Read more:http://atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=daily&action=display&thread=507&page=16#ixzz1Zk5OF4Oz

I could work my way up the point ladder and got increasing votes per day just fine as the chart indicates until reaching 10,000 points/level 5 --- that's when it got limited back down to 25 again, a bug that several others have reported and @mtvoma says it's working on so I'm not worried. Mszue if you were able to vote only once (I'm assuming you mean only in one category?) I'd try a different browser and try logging out and in again with your facebook and twitter, both on the MTV site and separately (on twitter and facebook themselves). I really doubt there is ever anything purposefully hinky in these things, there is no motivation, it's usually just code or browser/platform related bugs.

So I have finally given in and voted with twitter on that FanArmyFTW poll. Don't feel that great about doing so, because it feels like you are signing half your rights away on twitter (i.e. they can now post using my twitter name?) I know they will only post this one message, but still...theoretically they have now permission to post anything they want under my name. That is insane. Of course I am only using my limited craazy...twitter and not my real life accounts, but still, who knows how much they crawl around gmail and twitter and whatnot to collect info. So, not too happy about it, but then, if Adam asks...who can resist. Obviously, I cannot.
I have noticed that the only times that he sends these voting requests out on his own behalf, is exactly when they are tied to Facebook or twitter accounts, and they are collecting info. I don't recall that Adam ever asked for it on any of the other voting 'games' that are going on. So, I presume he is interested in collecting his fan base info for future purposes, just my suspicion that this is what is going on.
Now while I was hitting that vote button, nothing changed, not my voting points, nor any status, the only thing is the screen started displaying the trends. Also twitter has not yet sent that message. Is their system somehow frozen or am I incapable of voting properly?

I TA with your comments....I did not vote in this thing until Adam's tweet and even that was with initial reluctance. We as a collective are slowly 'letting' social media and the corp.s that own those media, infiltrate every part of our lives and it is disturbing. Re the voting today, there really is some sort of problem. I could only vote once with my twitter and once with my facebook and then each time, I was informed I had 'reached my limit'....I tried to log out and back in with no improvement in the situation.

Reading the MTVO awards twitter it looks like they are doing a bit of bug fixing today.
If you can't figure out your issue, they say to email them:
MTVOMA MTV O Music Awards @scorpios4adam Hello! Are you still having trouble voting? If so, please email us at omusicawards@mtv.com. Thanks!
