How about a THANK YOU to all those that are so kind to bring stuff over from twitter, google alert or other sources, instead of beating up on them for the one time where it turns out to be a rumor. I am just stunned. If we all need a journalistic degree and take everything through a multi-layer vetting process before we post it, we could all be doing this professionally, instead of spending a few happy hours with a drink or while listening to muzak. I thought this was a FUN website? Guess to some it is pretty darn serious. Glad so many are commenting with similar messages....but I just want to add my T H A N K Y O U to all those folks actively participating and bringing us all the goodies. They are all loved, even those we need to unwrap or discard a few of them. Thank you THIS!!!! AWWWW... another hug-a-thon and rightly so. Can never have too many hugs!!

We discusssed how easy this was the other day, why don't you guys just make a Twitter or Facebook account that you only use for voting?!Make an e-mail with Yahoo or Hotmail and then have it. It eliminates all the worries about your personal stuff being accessed. Twitter is a pain in that it requires a seperate email address for each account. That means if you only use Outlook, then you have to set yourself up an gmail or yahoo etc account in addition so it's at least a two step process. Or you can fake the email. However if you fake it then you won't get any messages from Twitter and if someone takes over or already has the email you fake, they can take over your twitter. For those of us who do have two accounts then you have to keep logging in and out whenever you want to switch over. Maybe things like tweetdeck can help but you really need a dashboard where you can be logged in to several things simultaenously.

I'm not very computer savvy so this might seem like a dumb question :-[ but after I make up a fake email account with say Hot.mail that is not my email now, how will it show up on my computer...will it interfere with my other email address that I use for everything else. Thanks.

I'd just like to add my thanks to anyone able to bring in tweets, video, pictures et al. We would miss so much without them and IF something is not quite kosher, I think things done with a good intention are never wasted.

Just to clarify my couple of comments re trolls in case some/all these 'me too' tweets are aimed at me! At no time in my comments on twitter was I referring to those bring tweets to the list....just in case someone thought so. There are a lot of peeps going on about the unfairness of criticizing those bringing over tweets but have only seen 1 or perhaps 2 tweets, ages ago, suggesting we be more careful....am I off on this? And my initial comment referenced especially, a bogus tweet by someone calling themself Jimmy_Iovine that had peeps twittering back fan choices over and over...and that person really was being a nonsense troll as I understand the term.
My main concerns re twitter is the use of it by many to denigrate and gossip maliciously about other twitterers....seemingly for no important reason. Stuff from here is regularly taken to twitter or LJ or other forums and ridiculed anonymously. Do not get it....but it is what it is.
Which is why I love others bringing tweets here....and if they turn out to be nonsense...well it was entertaining for awhile....

In twitter, after the voting is over, you can revoke their access. Go to "profile" --> applications, and just click "revoke access".

Isn't that a misquote? Fans donated pendants to other fans who couldn't afford them. No, I actually saw a lot of tweets, where peeps were in tears, becasue someone had bought the pendent for them, knowing their financial circumstances. It was a sight to behold and brought tears to my eyes thinking how great this fandom is.
