Hoping to make amends for my AWFUL mistake I'll post something else, a different topic entirely, just slightly off topic: I was leafing through some of the stories about Steve Jobs that flooded the internet after his death (I bought my first apple computer a quarter of century ago and still think Macs are far better than run of the mill PCs) and I came across this explanation for the apple logo edition.cnn.com/2011/10/06/opinion/apple-logo/index.html?hpt=hp_midwhich bears some correlation with Adam and his involvement with the Trevor Project. In short, it explains why Alan Turing (“the man who laid the foundations for the modern-day computer”) killed himself in 1954: though he had helped win WWII, he was persecuted because of his homosexuality to the point of taking his own life by biting into an apple soaked in cyanide. The article goes on to say that this “origin” of the logo is probably a myth, but still I found it interesting on its own merit and because – like a thousand things every day – it made me think of Adam.

Seriously, if people can tell the difference between Steve Perry and Rick Perry, they should be able to figure the difference between Adam Lambert and Adam Levine.

Neat story. I'd never heard it before. Thanks for bringing it here!

Lest you think I’m not thrilled and happy for Adam let me quote Craazyforadam first: BUUUUZZZZZZ! THIS ALBUM WILL BE GREAT - and TOP 40 RELEVANT. BUZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But sometimes, egoistically, I feel we are going to lose some of our trailblazing uniqueness and sense of purpose when everybody jumps on the bandwagon… hence this message: When the new album comes out and it’s such a cosmic success that all our flailing and hoping and loving and supporting will recede into a tiny speck that can hardly be discerned across the deep intergalactic distance, we must be brave my friends, and take courage from the fact that even though now we are no longer the torchbearers of the awfulness of our beloved, still we were there from the start, we were there when it counted !! Did you by chance mean "awesomeness" instead of "awfulness", hmmm? ;D ;D ;D ;D but aside from that the statement was beautiful

Wow, that's a chilling story either way, youarebetterer. I just read the article and wow, talk about so many interesting theories behind it. So amazing how such a simple thing like that logo can become so iconic. The lessons of this week, including Steve Jobs' branding mastery and attention to detail, are humbling to say the least. It just goes to show, no matter innovative or superior the product, the messaging of that product is every bit as important. Jobs got that soooooooooo clearly. Here's DMG's website, Jazzrocks www.directmanagement.com/Yes, the Twitter angst does get to be a bit much, IMO. I'm so glad these new rumors completely contradict that chatter.

Seriously, if people can tell the difference between Steve Perry and Rick Perry, they should be able to figure the difference between Adam Lambert and Adam Levine. I have an entirely different interpretation. Adam said he didn't know who Steve Cooke was, Adam Levine previously said he didn't know who Adam Lambert was, Steve Cooke now acts like he doesn't know who Adam Lambert is by confusing him with Levine. Full Circle.
