Jumping in here, guys, to thank you all for the lovely & FUN Birthday wishes today! I've been running all day w RL & only able to sneak peaks at a few pages of Atop at a time, so have not caught up yet. No comment on the fuckery...bastid album! Holding out hope that we still get the new REAL AFL single released SOON! Now THAT would be the BEST birthday gift...evah! In the meantime, y'all are the greatest!

[wry grin]
Ok - last thing I'll say on this tonight, 'cause my parents are showing up tomorrow and my house still looks like its been bombed:
I spent most of yesterday trying to read a legal document on a topic I knew a lot about, using information from a frack'n law class that I was forced to take during graduate school, and it still took over 3 hours before I could comprehend what the hell I was reading. I'm not stupid. But its like reading a foreign language.
Again, I'm speculating wildly. However, if Monte had past or recent dealings with Malcolm West-whatever, just one little additional line in a document such as "...and other associated material" that Monte signed off on could have given Malcolm access to everything that Monte had his name attached to, up to and including the Citizen Vein songs.
THIS IS COMPLETE SPECULATION. But - gah - I've dealt with enough weasel words in poorly written legal documentation this week, all that could lead to insanely expensive business obligations, that I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.

He is living in LA now (up until a week ago, at Adam's house.) digression, but I'm curious, how do we know he was living with adam?

I'm sorry but being Adam's brother and even living in his house STILL does not mean that Adam discusses all his business with Neil. That is a HUGE assumption to make. And Neil is historically MORE likely to be extremely flippant about serious stuff because he is not likely to want to give a serious answer to Adam's fans who he already thinks stick their noses too far into his brother's business. I don't recall there being any info on where Neil was staying other than that he was in LA, for all we know he could have been staying with Leila. Do we really think Neil wants to be in the love nest with Adam and Sauli? LOL

Hmmm...I have trouble believing that Monte would be so stupid as to sign something without a lawyer, especially knowing what a weasel that jerk is. Monte has wanted to release the CV recordings for some time but Adam refused. Maybe he got tired of waiting.
