That's just the way performance royalties work. Music business finance is very complicated but when someone writes a song, registers the copyright and has it aligned with their performance royalties organization it can't really be stolen from them. So the rumor that Adam had to sign away his ownership of these songs in order to conform to an American Idol contestant contract can not be true? Rumor being that he gave full rights to Monte as he trusted him. Eek- you edited? Now I sound like an idjit!!

What's up with Monte sending threatning DMs to some Adam fans? >:( >:( >:( This situation is getting more and more suspicious....... Is Monte going on a rant or something? How did you find out about this?

I went back and looked at the site and it clearly says that it is lyrics for his upcoming album in 2012. I understand fans and Adam are very frustrated about this but I don't see any misrepresentation on the site. Yes it is using his name, but yes he did co-write and perform those songs and the twitter references are public domain, etc. Yes Adam handlers should and imagine will check this out but I just don't interpret the site the way many here are. The are working it yes, but... Ok, I see the stones coming at me now... Ducking for cover. Sure would be much easier if Adam would just get in front of this and let it be known these are pre-works and be proud of what he has done in his past instead of trying to hide it. And what if one of the songs from this album which is being promoted even without his approval has a hit that reaches radio or something. How would that hurt Adam. Yes in the it's not in my control aspect it would be odd, but there was a time when Adam and Monte wanted and dreamed of those songs making it to the public. Well, now they are for the good or bad... Don't think it's not being 'proud' but it muddies up the brand he is trying to establish. And the brand is a very real thing. These do not represent him currently at all....the production has sucked (we'll see). He is still new trying to establish himself and he does not need dated rock nor dated pop. His label would not be thrilled either. Plus does he really want to explain this shit in interviews for a year?? It toally muddles up Adam's brand and impinges on the real single and real album. It uses Adam's promo, which his label and management pay for for a non authorized project. The timing is deliberate and the guy is a scumball.

Funny I just tried googling that info.. didn't find anything.

What I don't understand is when Adam becomes the huge star we all expect him to be, why would Monte jeopardize hurting their relationship? Also, it's difficult for me to believe/understand how anyone would have such a lack of integrity because their spouse planted "seeds" in their head. Wouldn't show much integrity to begin with. Of course, I could be naive and I never had kids let alone five. Also, if Monty didn't get any money/royalties for the album, what's the point?

I don't know enough to have an opinion. However, if something's going to be discussed, I'm for putting all the info on the table so to speak. Yep. I mean when we are here to support Adam and trying to figure out what is benefiting him and what is stabbing him the back is a crucial detail in all of that. My thoughts: If the release was supposed to be all above-board, etc. Why the hell didn't they release it any time in the last 2.5 years call it The Citizen Vein? Great, Adam would get songwriting royalties and it would not be muddying his upcoming album. THAT part is clearly calculated and a flagrant attempt to ride the coattails of Adam2 (and not to mention, potentially causing major damage to the sales numbers). Also, to put Adam's tweets on the website as a direct ruse to get people to think he is talking about that album is disgusting. Will reserve making judgment about "other people's involvement," but having a very difficult time rationalizing some things. :-/ Could Monte/Lisa/other asshats involved have done this dirty deed for the express purpose of forcing Adam to buy them out? Evidently if this be the case, his friendship and loyalty to Adam mean shit and the $$$$$$ mean everything to Monte. :-/

***sigh*** Kinda missing the shallow end discussion about the newly shaved sides of Adam's head, and what that means for the album photoshoot. I'd personally like to see the Monte discussion tabled for now. But, y'all are expressing your opinions without attacking each other (thanks for playing nice), so, if you need to continue to throw out ideas and opinions, go for it. Just remember to keep it glittery. Probably because the shaved sides materialized earlier in the week when Adam went to that club. Maybe the shaved sides is all talked out?

Yeah....could you share with us how you became an Adam fan? We love hearing how newbies here found Adam! Really? I mean... I'm an older straight guy - so I'm a bit closeted about my fandom in real life. I'd probably look really weird and creepy at a Lambert show but... I've followed on Twitter and have a google news alert set up. True story - I lost a bet with my niece and she (knowing that I really didn't like anything on idol and wouldn't give any of their contestants a chance) played me the whole record. When she could stop gloating and teasing me over what she played (I finally told her to shut up) I found that I actually thought the record was really well written and produced and ultimately I admitted that Adam's just got a great voice. This was about a year ago. I love this story! I have always been of the opinion that the vast majority of people would love Adam's voice if they would just listen to it. Kudos to your niece for introducing you to the amazing talent of Adam F. Lambert! And kudos to you for listening with an open mind!
