Great essay, as usual, NoAngel! I would add to the cast of characters the one who sits in the corner and stays the hell out of it! I always look forward to NoAngel's Sunday morning essays! LOL, that's me to a T! Growing up an only child, I used to thank my lucky stars I didn't have to live with all the drama and conflict I often witnessed at friends and cousins' homes. I realize my situation was the exception rather than the rule, but I was very happy with it....and still am.

They say families have to sit down for dinner together at least once a week to continue to be a cohesive functioning unit.... guess that problem is not with this kind of family... we have pie together , all the time... Thanks No Angel... you always keep it real.... Some pop art then for the family "fridge"

Yesterday was a day of nodding my head, shaking my head, ready to jump in, stepping away to take a break but in the end knowing that we'd be "back at the table in the morning." Ha...I'm a middle child & my natural tendency is to be a peace maker...I like deflection and humor....

I would never wear sandals to GA. I don't wear combat boots but I do wear one pair of boots I have with a substabtial toe and a platform heel (makes me taller.) These are my GA shoes. I always wear them to a GA show! ;D

Great story NoAngel. Sounds like a typical family. Lively discussion is always at its best at the dinner table. But there is always a couple that sit there and do not contribute, but you can see the seething. You want them so much to say something.
Happy Thanksgiving Canadians.
Q3 -you have such a sweet tooth. Girl after my own heart.

Johnny Depp holding Movie Star magazine w/Adam on the cover s3.amazonaws.com/data.tumblr.com/tumblr_lsszjauS6P1qhaxglo1_1280.jpg?AWSAccessKeyId=AKIAJ6IHWSU3BX3X7X3Q&Expires=1318258100&Signature=VIARPhpV9v8v4OPFVu3sug6yKVg%3DOops, too fast, Maria. I was even going to try to embed. NoAngel – perfect essay. PERFECT analogy. Love it. I would just like to note that discussing issues doesn't mean you have any delusions that you are solving those issues, it is an attempt to understand and form/clarify your own opinions. Of course, it's up to Adam's people and RCA. It always was. Discussing politics doesn't mean you feel TPTB in our respective countries are going to alter their courses of action to fit our conversations either. Happy Thanksgiving Canadians!!! (Yum, I wish it was our Tgiving right now.) Happy Birthday, Bee!!!!

The family I raised sounds very much like yours. There is never a dull (or quiet) moment when we are all together. Lively discussions are frequent and (mainly) fun with everyone trying to explain why their position/idea is right/logical/ intelligent/thought provoking/funny/intuitive/the best evah...
Over the years, the main rules for engagement have become: no argument should be phrased as a personal attack, everyone's ideas are valid and worthy of respect because they belong to a person we love and respect, and feelings are not "right" or "wrong"; they just are.
Kind of similar to the rules for the board. Thanks to all of you who make up this "family." I value all your voices and divergent opinions, and love when you share your photo albums, lol. When we are all together, there is never a dull moment. It was great to see some of you back "home" at the table yesterday. I miss you when real life calls you away, and I miss being here when real life calls me away as well.
I can't wait for the giant family reunions we are sure to have when Adam tours again. <33
ETA: Great essay NoAngel
