Brooke was usually there, in the off days, fun activities. I don't read anything into Monte not doing the "fun" stuff other than that he is older, married, and just in a different place in his life. He also has a much more quiet personality. A lot of the stuff they did just seemed to me like things Monte might not enjoy.
And, yes, he did fly home a lot.

At this point I'm done gnashing my teeth over Monte. I think he's made a big mistake deciding to align himself with this project but he has and all I can do now is stop following him on twitter(done) and not buy anything he's selling. I don't want to dwell upon how his choice impacts any relationship he has with Adam. I'm going to use all my outrage and direct it at the source of this mess at the Rat who created this project. It would be great to able to harness all this energy into some kind of action. Would be good if people actually do this, instead of directing anger at everything and anything except for what it primarily should be on. Seems like people are more angry at Monte etc., and trying to flounce him instead of focusing more on bring this Malcolm guy down. CLARIFICATION, I'M NOT A MONTE APOLOGIST OR SYMPATHIZER. I DON'T REALLY CARE OR HAVE AN OPINION ON HIM EITHER WAY. IT JUST SEEMS THAT PEOPLE JUST WANT TO FIND SOMEONE TO LASH OUT ON AND USING MONTE CAUSE HE'S MORE VISIBLE. |

Yes this. I think there is/was some confusion. I think that Adam said that he thinks that they both are the same thing. He didn't even know that they were going to be released, so I don't think at the time he knew exactly what was what, or what was going on when he first said that. I don't know about that, though. From his series of tweets, Adam clearly knew they were two different projects. I think rabbitrabbit's post is a pretty accurate assessment. I think it's a mistake to assume that the fact that the Citizen Vein songs are co writes actually changes his opinion on whether or not he's okay with them being released. In a way, the CV songs are worse. The session tracks he can completely disavow. But the CV tracks are work he considers unfinished, and judging by the production on downloads of the preview clips, not up his standard at all. But still his name will be attached to them in an even stickier way. I also agree that he has a harder time dismissing the CV tracks. And that Rabbitrabbit's breakdown makes sense. But we are interpreting what Adam tweeted and it was not clear. To me, it is not clear that Adam was aware of what exactly was going on when he tweeted. In any case, I do not think his attorneys would want him to comment on BFM in any way at this point and my GUESS is that if Adam says anything else about BFM it will be "lawyer approved". |

I'm sorry, I have to question a couple of points, Q3:
Yes, or those are the street-teamers spurred by Monte and the people behind Welsford who are trying to promote this album everywhere we try to thwart it. This is an active campaign that involves several components, including a street team on fye, many of Monte's fans, and people who work for Welsford. They are posting the links on every Adam story, etc. Yes, so far, we've remained in pace with them, but still, the damage is done and the writing on the walls is that they are making a concerted effort to launch this in every way possible.
The press release that was targeted to the major music media went out a few hours ago. Another indication that they are attempting a media blitz. Will they be successful? Who knows. Again, so far, most people have been able to figure it out rather quickly and counteract it. But it is a game of Internet Whack-A-Mole right now.
If Lyndsey and Jim hadn't tweeted about receiving these press releases, we wouldn't have even known about them. Since a press release is the first stage of media coverage, we have no idea what is coming up. WAY too early to blow it off as insignificant.

Because a lot of times when Adam been trying to get his sexy-time on, playing with the band, the guitarist, I just kind of cringe, when he be with Monte, just so not sexy and don't want. I'm not sure the backlash at Monte is just because he is more visible.
I think Susie said earlier that Welsford is scum and that is exactly what we expect from him. Even though Adam might feel a little hurt that this guy he thought was helping them back thebn turned out to be slime - he is likely to brush it off since he has been in the biz for years and knows this stuff happens all the time. So yeah, we can all hate on him just for being scum but it isn't really all that personal.
There is a reason that Dante reserved the lowest circle of his hell for those who betray - this is something that is fundamentally wrong for most of us. From Judas to Brutus, we consider the betrayer to be vile. That is what has people worked up over Monte - it looks like he chose to betray Adam. I don't know if we will ever know the truth one way or the other, but that tends to be very emotional for people.

Yup. That's why I hope we don't have to see him on the next tour - Adam might be a highly evolved, forgiving human being but I think it would (will) take me a while to get over this kind of disloyalty from a friend. ??? Now I'm only SPECULATING here but I think it might be difficult for Monte to play for Adam now because there is a signicant amount of fandom that is upset with him. There would need to be alot of clearing of the air. I'm visualizing the band intro and if they were playing today I think Monte's reception would be tepid at best. But who knows, stranger things have happened, maybe he will be there One thing about Adam --- if he wants Monte in his touring band, he'll put Monte in his touring band. He has done things that were not popular with some very vocal, very committed fans in the past. For example, if he listened to some loud fans on Twitter, he would not have had the dancers in GNT and would have specifically fired Brooke. Instead he Tweeted about how the dancers inspired him and how important Brooke was to him and his performance, etc. That said, outside of the fans who spend time on Twitter and fanboards, who even knows this is going on? And a lot of committed Adam fans do not care who is in the band -- as long as Adam is out front. I have been to several GNT concerts -- was there a band?  ETA: I am not buying the "all producers are scum therefore no reason to hate on Welsford" logic. Even Adam pointed to Welsford as the bad guy. IMO -- Welsford and Rene Moore are on the bottom rung of bottom feeders in the cesspool known as the music business. Not everyone does business like these guys. If a gang member murdered someone in a driveby shooting, would we give him a pass because that is what gang members do? |
