Thank you NoAngel. Another great essay. I have never stannned anyone like I do Adam. There have been artists whose music I like and buy, but I know nothing about their personal life and don't care. The difference with Adam is he makes me think, challenges preconceived ideas I have, but is charming while doing so. I think I've grown as a person these past 2 years because of Adam.

Good morning everybody! :D Q3 the banner photo is a crop from this one. It's a series of photos that I have from that night, but I have no idea where, when.Maybe 4Msrmyn knows more about it. I can't give a date or place for that one, but perhaps someone could ID the couple with Adam & Brad in another one from the same set. The guy looks so familiar, but I can't come up with a name.

I love your figures. It really puts things in perspective. With so much buzz within the fan community, we can get a false impression of how it is being perceived outside of the fan world. Looks like it is being thoroughly ignored. Curious, where do the numbers come from? 0.1 or 0.05? Are you assigning them? Computing them from some data? I am not doubting you, just wondering. I did not want to bore anyone with methodology -- but there is one. I set up a relative scale -- so that I had a benchmark -- for all three. Pre-orders/Sales is based on Amazon best sellers rank using a long tail chart --- average sales per album sales rank. I used data from 2009 because that is the most current info I have but it has not changed much since 2004 so I assumed that it is similar now. For the math geeks, it is a Power Law function. News - I used Google news counts augmented with a Google search. Anything not picked up by one of these Google searches is obscure. I used a point system for this -- where 100+ news mentions = a score of 10. For comparison, Scotty's album hit #1 and has 271 news reports in the past week. For "Online Buzz", I aggregated web traffic, searches, social media mentions and Twitter mentions. There is so little traffic that it is hard to scale. Essentially there is no buzz, just a few bees racing around to sites all over the Web. There are not enough mentions to use online analytics software to determine the level of positive/negative sentiment so I did a manual estimate. Punchline is that there are a handful of the same people buzzing around the web posting comments about these two projects who appear to work for or know Welsford (BFM) or Moore/South Central (PS), and a bunch of core Adam fans who are/were buzzing about these albums. Currently, there is nothing going on about this outside Adam fandom. We'll see if it heats up as the releases approaches -- BFM single releases on 10/18/11 -- maybe it will stir something up.
