Lulu, That's totally me and my sister. And I try REALLY hard not to do that, rarely mentioning Adam in conversation. :-/ It could also be my mom or other friends. They have no idea how much I bite my tongue in an effort not to do this. I should be getting Brownie points!! While my sister's religious views frequently place us on different sides of various moral issues, she respects my right to think and act morally in accordance with my own conscience. We listen to each other's views and continue to love each other in spite of our differences. Plus, she is a proud and supportive aunt, even when my family is at its most outrageous. I am sure we give her family lots of stories to tell, but I am also sure that they tell them fondly.

Back again - but I started laughing out loud when I thought about the "youngsters" on another board referring to Atopia as the nursing home... Well - what a way to go! ;D ;D ;D [snort] As someone who is still paying both nursery school tuition and day care, I'm slightly resenting that remark. [even more wryly] Ironically, I don't think I'll ever get to the nursing home. By the time I'm allowed to retire at 85 or whatever it will be at that point, I'm just gonna drop dead. (Sorry, paying bills. Feeling cranky. And I think the roof has sprung another leak. )

Has there been a track listing for BfM yet? Are we just assuming Pop Goes the Camera will be on it? I thougth there was something - maybe via twitter or one of the band ustreams before that ended - where M said that Pop Goes the Camera was 100% Adam and he wasn't involved. If that is the case, how would scumbag Welsford have his hands on it? Am I remembering that wrong? There is a studio recording of "Pop Goes the Camera" under the alternate title "15 Minutes of Fame" which is part of the recording masters Welsford owns. It appears that it will be on BGM. But it has been on track listings two times before and, like the other CV music, not released; There is also an alternate recording of PGTC that has been on YouTube for over 2 years, This is a different recording and the ownership of this master is unclear, It may be unprotected. It may or may not be true but there are a couple posts on Amazon from people who appear to work for Welsford that claim they cannot use the name Citizen Vein because they do not have the right to the band name. I do not know who owns the name Citizen Vein and could not find a TradeMark application for it -- however, it seems likely that Monte and Adam own the band name.
Finally, the press release that was sent out on Friday was about the "Paramount Sessions" not BFM. There has been no official PR announcement of BFM yet. PS is just a repackaging of Take One Adam tracks with some music by Steve Cooke. There are no new Adam tracks on the track listing but it is possible that they used extended versions of songs. In any case, PS has no news value. And yet they have the right to the name Adam Lambert? And are allowed to market on his Amazon pages with claims that it is his sophomore album? : : Like I said yesterday, as appalling as it sounds, they probably do have some legal loophole somewhere. If there's anything consistent with sleazoid "producers," they always seem to know right where the legal lines are drawn (because they spent their entire existence on the razor's edge of those lines).

If that is the case, how would scumbag Welsford have his hands on it? Am I remembering that wrong? I thought Crawl Through Fire and Pop Goes The Camera weren't on the bastard album. But I know nothing. Here is what I believe is an accurate track listing for BFM but it is UNCONFIRMED: 1. BEG FOR MERCY 2. ROUGH TRADE 3. THE CIRCLE 4. TURNING ON 5. JUST THE WAY IT IS 6. SACRIFICE 7. POP GOES THE CAMERA 8. MP3s KILLED THE RECORD COMPANIES 9. CRAWL THROUGH FIRE 10. RUN AWAY + maybe a couple of remixes, including a remix of BFM. This is almost identical to the songs that were in the "On With The Show" track listing that TMZ published in June 2009. Just without the two Micheal Burtscher songs and "Kiss and Tell" but the addition of "Sacrifice" . Here is the song list from the memo about "On With The Show" which included the songwriter percentages: 1. Beg For Mercy Adam Lambert 50%, Monte Lee Pitman 50% 2. Crawl Thru Fire Adam Lambert 50%, Monte Lee Pitman 50% 3. Want Micheal Burtscher 100%4. Kiss and Tell Adam Lambert 50%, Kiril Dziajkovski 50% ????? 5. Just The Way It Is Adam Lambert 50%, Monte Lee Pittman 50% 6. Turning On Adam Lambert 50%, Monte Lee Pittman 50% 7. On With The Show Michael Burtscher8. Runaway Adam Lambert 50%, Monte Lee Pittman 50% 9. 15 Minutes of Fame Adam Lambert 50% Monte Lee Pittman 50% 10. The Circle Adam Lambert 50%, Monte Lee Pittman 35%, Tommy Victor 15% 11. mp3 Killed The Record Companies Adam Lambert 50%, Monte Lee Pittman 50% I do not know if they will get released but all of the above songs were recorded and produced by Welsford -- and he owns the recording masters for them. There is a US District Court case -- filed in Feb and March 2011 by Michael Burtscher against Ivan Rene Moore/Ruff Town Entertainment/SCD. There is a lot of material, emails, copyright filing info etc. It is all public record, and I have read most of it. It appears the Michael Burtscher owned the Take One recording masters through his New Zealand company Coldwater Entertainment Limited of which he is the sole director. The copyright on Take One album is held by Coldwater Entertainment Limited aka Dublyn Jones Rufftown Entertainment Group/CSD. He wrote all the songs on Take One. Burtscher and Welsford were connected -- but Welsford recently set up a corporation called Colwel Platinum of which he is the sole director. BFM is being released by Colwel Platinum and I cannot find any connection between BFM and Burtscher, Rene Moore or the "fine folks" at South Central. I am still digging thru filings, shell corporations and court records. ETA: I edited this a bit to clarify.

[looks up] So the inclusion of "Kiss and Tell" makes this an Adam Lambert album versus Citizen Vein??

If there's anything consistent with sleazoid "producers," they always seem to know right where the legal lines are drawn (because they spent their entire existence on the razor's edge of those lines). A band name can be protected with a US Trade Mark, it is different than a person's name. It is general practice for bands to protect their names via Trademark (you cannot copyright a band name). Difficult for Adam to own "Adam Lambert" because he is his personal name and it does not have a secondary meaning. Link: www.mateoaboy.com/f6/blog_files/42da91d1c28216afc0701f2e0921ead1-24.htmlThe use of Adam's name also is clouded by the fact that he sang and cowrote these songs. Adam, RCA, and 19R could have some legal recourse for damages caused by false advertising -- but that is a question for a lawyer. All I know is that as an advertising and marketing professional, I find the whole presentation and marketing of BFM disgusting and amateurish. I do know that Amazon is not likely to do anything about it, They have a lot of mousetype saying they are not responsible for anything. People have tried to get them to stop really offensive merchandise before or pull products with blatant false claims, and they do nothing.
